I'm going to do a liver flush some time soon but I don't know much about it. I was wondering if anyone on here had done one, and what their results were. Why did you decide to do one and how did you feel after? If you could link to the recipe as well that would help. I'm probably going to do something with olive oil, epsom salts, lemon juice + apple juice.

I believe this belongs in conspiracies because doctors and pharmaceutical companies are making a mint from treating diseases which start with a toxic liver. Not only that but the drugs they prescribe you often toxify the liver even further.
Secondly, we are deliberately not taught about proper organ health and cleansing in school... imagine how healthier society would be if we all grew up knowing about omega balance, mineralization and other health issues.

Thanks in advance for your comments

You mentioned epsom salt. Just a warning before you take that, 10 minutes after you ingest it, your stomach will growl, then become furious and it will get mad at you. Then you will have diarrhea for 20 minutes straight after about an hour after ingesting. I am talking on personal experience. and make sure you HEAVILY flavor the epsom salt because getting it down in the first place is an accomplishment.

I think it is good that you are cleaning your liver. Dirty livers can not be a good thing. Just think of it like changing your oil filter in your car. Just maintenance.

Thanks for the advice and the analogy. I have all the kit I need, I'm going to do it in a few hours. I smelled the epsom salts, they don't seem too bad...
I just drank a load of apple juice, even that is making me nauseous.
Will update tomorrow.

Just an update. I did it last sunday night, with apple juice, olive oil and epsom salts. Got no stones but felt great the next day. I was skeptical but it really works. Good Luck..

So is this procedure recommended for someone who drinks heavily (like me) to keep your liver healthy? I can see this as being a possible procedure for extending my life.

I used to drink more than my fair share, rarely spirits or wine, just beer.

I don't know, it might help you. I've written about repairing the liver in another thread, check my posts in the depression discussion by clicking on my profile.

David Wolfe is the most knowledgable health professional I know.

Last, I started a few other threads about the liver and got some interesting and informative replies. Good Luck.

Hi Hi,

I do a cleanse/flush four times a year always in conjunction with a one week juice fast.

I have tried many products and combinations to varying degrees of success.

I find this website very helpful: thewolfeclinic

They sell a lot of fantastic products including one called Bioxy Cleanse. However even if you don't buy anything from them, they have a great amount of useful information, most of it in the form of peer reviewed research.

Edit: Eek, I just reread your last post, apparently you are aware of The Wolfe Clinic.

Hi SchDawg,
Well you always seem very chilled out so your liver fire must be in order. I've come across the Wolfe Clinic before, they have some good info. I'm not 100 per cent sure if they're related to David Wolfe though.
David Wolfe on Youtube the guy absolutely rules. I'm nearly through cleansing, got to do my kidneys next, will be starting a thread soon.

Liver cleanse: Here is the formula to the one I do. It leaves you feeling great.

The one week Liver Cleanse; drink 12 oz. or a large glass of pure apple juice with the mother (ie.Raw apple juice) Drink this three times a day pref. morning noon and night for 6-days. At noon on the 6th day will be the last time you drink the apple juice, also at noon on the 6th day- eat a light lunch soup or just rice. skip dinner that evening.
mix a quart jar with three table spoons of epsons salts in 4-cups of distilled water. drink 1/2 of the espon salts and water from the quart jar around 6pm.( it helps to cool the sloution down in the freezer for 30 min. prior to drinking) in about 15-20 min. max. you will have the best bowel evcuation that that you have ever had. on the same day, later that same evening say at bed time about 10pm. drink the following premixed preparation. Using a quart jar fill the quart jar half way full with freash squeezed grapefruit juice and fill the top half oilve oil.
just before you drink this, mix it with a blender for about 15 sec. (or put the lid on the jar and shake it violently)
( it does not taste as bad as it sounds like it might taste) it will look milky white. Down the whole quart of this mixture and lay down at a 45% angle. ( not flat on the bed). A wedge shaped foam pillow is great for this part if you have one, if not just prop about three pillows under your back so that your head is not too low. In about 30-45 min. maybe longer, you will feel the need to start heading for the toilet. You will note little Rabbit size pellets that are green and red floating around in the commode. These are the bad things being removed from your liver. the next morning when you get up, drink the final portion of the distilled water and epson salts mix and you will have another bowl movement smaller than the one the night before. You may see more green an red rabbit pellets floating in the water. for you city slickers, a rabbit pallete(turd) is about the size of a pencil eraser. Eat a light breakfast and a medium light lunch. you should be able to eat a regular dinner. DO this three or four times a year or at season change...........................good luck...................KMG

Thank you everyone! Great info. A friend of mine I haven't seen in ages? First thing I noticed after he knocked on my door? He's about 5 kilo less and his eyes are yellow. Hmmm... This means I'm going to invite him over for the weekend and guess what? He's going to get a liver cleanse whether he likes it or not!

I'll let you know how it...goes, lol.
