I know that the way some in the MSM are portraying this is BS but...there should have been massive tax day protests while Bush was in office too.

There were. They didnt get all this news coverage. Under Bush is when the SCOTUS refused to hear the complaints of the "We the People Foundation." To anyone paying attention this was huge. The SCOTUS just threw away their right to petition grievances and the MSM didn't care one bit.

Anyone claiming the same people weren't pissed off when Bush was in office just isn't paying attention.

This garbage has been pissing me off pretty consistently since Bush Sr. and trust me when I say I'm not alone.

Maybe the real-time transition of Bush to Obama carrying over and expanding just about everything we all hated was a little wake up call to the partisan bobbleheads. There wasnt the usual year or so of pretending anything was actually "different" so only the truly enslaved are still buying into the "my guy is better than your guy" crap.

It's sad to see there are so many of those floating around ATS even after all they've witnessed with their own eyes.

Yes Keith, we do HATE all politicians - how perceptive of you? This is why you never trust anybody who is on TellLieVision; especially a second rate sportscaster whose knowledge of the world is limited to bashing Fox News. Yeah, just what we need, more jackasses playing the racist card. Folks, please stop watching and supporting these creeps already.

Advocating violence against women ...

They are only women when they ACT like one, look like one, and TALK LIKE ONE. From what I can tell, "it" doesn't, and deserves what any loudmouthed guy gets. Just because "it" has a bra size and no winkler down there doesnt mean a thing.

Woman is a state of mine, and JG is outta there.

The like minded haters are comeing out of the woodwork with a president that doesnt seem to mind what people that represent him say.

This is just a ploy of the means to an end people,we are all being played for fools.Fragmentation of the people is the order of the day.

Wheres the anger for the term "Tea Bagging"? that left media is using to put down people going to the tea parties. Its a gay term for........well you look it up.

I have tea every damn day, does that make me a racist? In fact I come around to drinking almost three times per day. So...to say someone is racist for drinking tea is non sense. They don't care about Obama's race, they're just upset about paying taxes, but who isn't? Either way, they will still have to end up paying them. So they're just out there having their fun and I say let them.

yep, you're quite right! any woman who isnt a barbie, spending all her time cooking, cleaning, having/raising kids and pampering her husband (she was a virgin when she got married of course), any woman who dares to have an opinion or a career is not a woman and should be stoned to death.

hmm where did i hear that recently?...

Star and Flag to Janine and Keith for calling a spade a spade!
I was always confused about the premise of the recent tea bag protests.
Historically, the Boston tea party was symbolic and made a specific point regarding a specific tax being initiated.
If Americans wanted to make a statement that the government would listen to, why not do something more appropriate to the present day economic environment? Tea just doesn't make the same kind of statement as it did hundreds of years ago.
It is clear from the video that the crowd really didn't understand what it was protesting. Higher taxes? government bailouts? Useless war in Iraq?
It appears to really be just protest for protest sake, which is fine, but when a fellow steps up to the microphone and tells it like it is, meaning, bush administration took the globe to the brink of economic meltdown through ridiculous spending, unprecedented debt, corruption, fear and torture and his replacement inherits a lose-lose situation, they start booing!! That shows the complete lack of intelligence right there. I believe these protesters are just now feeling the economic pinch that actually started when Rumsfeld was still employed by Bush.

" Hey I got a real Janeane Garofalo situation going on so uhh no I can't go "

Anybody know what that is from?

sry.. made me laugh when I heard it.

Thats just ass backwards thinking I would say.

Too many people lack balance in their opinions and get tricked into getting so passionate about just a small portion of it and then get the false courage to spit out something like that when they don't know the full truth but only half truths .

That is how people embarrass themselves on live tv.

*pushes buzzer* Wrong idea. Thanks for playing, tho. When a woman acts like a 300 lb biker, has a mouth so foul that sailors blush, and acts like she needs to be a sex object, and not someone who'd rather have respect of people, But would rather work real hard to hock off as many people as they can- NOT REAL. Simple as that.

All that person is is a paid shill to mouth off, try to look sexy, *gag* and sway public opinion in the PTB's favor. Probably the ONLY one they could pay peanuts to do the deed. If her career is circling the drain, I am sure they got away with the smallest amount they could to pay her off.

Just the question is- Why someone of almost no talent?

Janeane Garofalo's a sell out.

She was probably paid some good scratch to come out and say what she did.....being an "activist" and all.

She has the intellect of a broken Nintendo.....with no controllers.

And she SUCKS doing stand-up comedy! Allen Greenspan could probably make me laugh more.

This is really creepy, she's referring to those protesters as having some kind of mental defect, at what point will sociopaths such as her start recommending people who step out of line be medically treated . I think she's the one with a mental disorder , it's called transposition or reflection .
What do people like her want a one party system ?

I can think of no more vile and fallacious attack on rational thought, and considered dissent than this piece of propaganda drivel from MSNBC.

Fox News tried to hijack the Tea Parties, and its evil presence should have been rejected from the start. It has intentionally playing into the hands of the evil group who continue to maintain a vice like grip on the minds of the common people of America.

You may restate and encapsulate Janeane's argument as follows; Dissent is the product of mental illness, and those who dissent are racist, unstable and abnormal.

The low turn outs are reason enough for the controllers to celebrate - in deed it seems that the population has been domesticated to the point where it will happily wear its chains, and dissent has undergone a media driven definition change that makes it synonymous with treason and mental illness.

Those who pontificate against violence use it to enforce a police state, engage in imperialistic wars and use the greater violence of biased media to subjugate the population.

If justice were to be enacted, then such enemies of the human spirit should be judged guilty of the greatest treason against humanity, and suffer the outcome of any penalty thought to be consistent with that crime.

The use of public media for propaganda should be considered the greatest threat to human freedom.

I just emailed this "Letter to the editor" of MSNBC:

"After watching Keith Olbermann and Jeanine(sic) Garafalo's completely ignorant diatribe regarding those Americans who chose to exercise their Constitutional rights by peaceably demonstrating at the various TEA parties (TEA - Taxed Enough Already - for those of you at MSNBC ignorant of what the acronym stands for; Mr. Olbermann, Ms. Garafalo, the Editors), and MSNBC's approval of the vitriolic ignorance-display referenced, makes it all perfectly clear that your network is working to divide the people of this country through outright lies and disinformation.

Congratulations on your not-so-hidden, agenda-driven, malicious attempt to demonize law-abiding Americans merely wishing to express their concern over the corrupt, non-representational U.S. Government's oxymoronic paradigm of creating more tax-payer debt to pay for the Government and Wall Street's crashing, fraudulent, Global Ponzi Markets, and Keynesian "spend-your-way-out" failed economic policies.

Those of you at MSNBC who are appalled and offended by Americans expressing their opinions, and exercising their Constitutionally-guaranteed rights simply embarrass yourselves by demonstrating that your so-called "news" organization is directly opposed to one of the most fundamental tenets of Freedom: Dissent.

I will now compose a letter to my state's congressional representatives, and to the FBI, requesting a full investigation of the anti-freedom, anti-Constitution, dissent-suppressing totalitarian ideals MSNBC is so obviously a full-supporter of. I expect no response, of course, though I may be added to the "No-Fly" list for my efforts.

Sincerely

Just Another Government Mandated Debt-Slave."
