Most of the things you discuss on this website are a complete waste of time,and your effort.

IMHO of course BTW...........

There are way more important things to discuss here that are overlooked by most of you,for the same reason most of you think watching TV is a waste of time,the internet has replaced TV for you.

Do you realise that the internet is a truly useful tool to implement change ?,even though it is strictly monitored,and for good reason by those who fear the free sharing of something that resembles truth?.

Did you ever consider what type of people would actually fear something like the truth,or the free transmittal of ideas and information like the internet makes available.

Of course you do,but really,do you?.

I don't mean to discount anything that any of you have written here,and I have read some very well thought out and informative posts here over the years........

But wouldn't it be much more to implement change through communication,co-operation and action.

I always have questions about everything,now I question the true purpose of sites such as this.

Go find the truth before it finds you.

The internet, particularly here has alot of interaction that TV simply does not have.

I would say the internet is a lot more addicting than TV has ever been, but since people are aware of it, then it's a choice. I'd choose net over tv because like one other poster said it's much more interactive and you can get more out of it than you ever could on tv, that is of course if you use the internet for more than just viewing porn I wouldn't go as far to say that people waste their time here, granted there have been many topics on here that I think serious posters here can agree are in fact a waste of time, and the mods usually delete those, but other than that what people do with their time is how they wish to spend it. You are entitled to your opinion though.

I can't disagree with your general observations, OP, however object ot being painted with such a mundane brush. I live simply; can you say that?

Your post might rankle folks like me that aren't in the market for a makeover.

I just read your profile and you state you are getting old and tired of this world. That, in itself could be a cause for you to feel as you do.
Just how old are you if you don't mind sharing with us? I'm 62.

The older I get the more I tend to see many discussions as pointless and without meaning. And, we are right.

But my world would be very dull without conversations that don't have any cause and effect. Just nothing.

Discussions on ATS are much different to me than those in real life.

I choose the subject matter I wish to discuss and with whom I wish to discuss it.

There is not one day that goes by that I don't learn something new.

I believe discussion on sites such as this is beneficial to a vast number of people.

There is much mind stimulation going on here my friend.

Wow, I mean, just........... WOW! You just sum it up all perfectly. I come here, hope to contribute, and learn, and learn and think and sometimes go outside and pull weeds.

Weeds are an interesting concept. Everything has a purpose, or it would not have evolved. It must benefit SOMEthing. So, sometimes, regrettfully, one must pull the weeds. Too bad they aren't tasty. I have tasted them. They suck. Too bad they aren't tasty, or everything would be in balance.

I am trying to do the same as everyone else here, to figure stuff out as I head toward my inevitable demise.

Right about the time I think I may have figured something out, someone else presents their view on it, and out of consideration I add it to the information I already have whether it conflicts with my views or not.

My views change, the world seems to stay the same, everyone has their personal view/opinion/perspective, out of consideration I......

You see it goes round and round, the more I learn, the less I know.
