OR maybe size really doesn't matter to Obama after all.

Yeah or maybe Obama is just far more observant of diplomatic and cultural customs than that troglodyte before him ever was?

Bowing is a simply a sign of respect in traditional Bedouin culture. It's no different from how the Japanese bow before they greet each other.

So why did President Obama fail to bow to a Queen of lower physical stature, and of a closer alliance?

Also, if you are so enlightened about Bedouin culture, then you will also know that as a sect of the Arab people, they forbid shaking hands with anything but your right hand. They use their left hands to "Clean" themselves with, so the joke is on President Obama for shaking with both hands.

WhatTheory cmon man you know and I know that if the US wanted to bomb the hell out of Venezuela you would be in the front row of the cheerleading squad. Second why is he a thug?

Why would I be for bombing Venezuela? Currently, I see no reason to do such a thing. If the situation changes like if they would do something to threaten the U.S. like allowing Russia to station missiles there or something similar then I would be for military action.

Chavez is a thug for many reasons but most of all because of his dictatorship. He has taken control of Venezuela with an iron fist. He has nationalized everything, taken away all freedom from the people and if you dare to question him, you will end up dead. Yeah, nice guy.

I agree with you on bombing Venezuela they are no threat to us and never have been. What are they gonna do invade us with that 60s era technology? Our problems with Venezuela are not that we fear them or that they are a threat to us militarily just when it comes to energy kinda like well.....Iraq.

Taken control with an Iron Fist? Umm he was democratically elected in 1998 preaching socialism. When he got into office he started doing exactly what he promised which included nationalizing energy which is why our CIA had him overthrown or attempted anyways. It failed. Hmm where have I heard this before....OH YEAH we did the same thing to Iran when they threatened to nationalize their oil. So after it failed he regained power and then was re elected on the same socialist platform. Dude if that is what they want then let them have it who are we to tell anyone how to live?

Frankly when it comes to socialism I think we pretty much lead the pack in that area. We have bailed out more banks, auto, and insurance companies than Id ever dreamed of. Here in the US we give banks free money to lend to us back at interest pretty funny huh? I dont think we have any room to talk about how anyone lives anymore because Washington has spent 30+ years bending us over. They are the thugs.

Of course they are not going to invade us but I gave you one scenario. They are becoming very cozy with Russia and if they would make some sort of agreement for Venezuela to allow Russia to have missiles there, that would warrant some action.

Taken control with an Iron Fist?

Yes, an iron fist. It's very disingenuous of you to even compare Chavez to our government. First of all, if you believe those election results then you are very gullible. Second, a large majority of the people no longer support Chavez because of his dictatorship. That is not what they supposedly voted for. Bush or Obama (not yet anyway) will not kill you for disagreeing with them like Chavez does continually so don't even try to compare the two.

Dude they JUST re elected the guy how can you say they dont like him? Yes that IS what they voted for he specifically ran on a radical bolivarianism socialist platform and was elected not once but twice and that is the facts. How do I know OUR election results are correct? I sometimes wonder if Bush or Obama were really the ones elected by the people.

Look at all the socialism we have in our country mixed with fascism. We have our own problems we need to deal with instead of worrying about others. Like I said we just got done forking over trillions of dollars to banks so they can re lend it back to us at interest. WTF is that? Auto needs a bailout? Ok here comes the taxpayer to help. AIG or Geico? Sure the taxpayer will bail you out too.

As far as killing decentors how do you know it doesnt happen here? We already have people who are against the government being labeled as terrorists which was predicted by many atsers when they passed the patriot act. Anyone labeled as a terrorist white black muslim it makes no difference you can be shipped off to some prison with no access to anyone in the name of national security. All this because you have an I Hate Obama sticker.

It is not a sudden interest in Latin America. It is Mr. Obama doing as he told us he would. Instead of holding eternal resentment for foreign nations who refuse to do our bidding we befriend them and talk to them.

I don't ever recall us not talking to Venezuela, or placing sanctions on them, or not dealing with them despite what Chavez was and is doing. IMO, the only reason Obama is trying to show interest in them is because Latin America has gotten very critical of US policies over the last few years. Yes, it is a good thing that Obama is trying to improve the relationship, but I question whether he would have paid so much attention to Latin America if they were still willing to put up with the US dissing them?

Dude, you are apparently NOT reading what I wrote or intentionally just ignoring it. You seriously cannot believe that the elections are fair right? He is a dictator, he will always win.
All you have to do is listen to the people when they are alone and anonymous and don't feel threatened. They will tell you a different story about Chavez. Don't you understand Chavez kills anyone who opposes him or does not agree with him.

Im reading what you are saying and you dont see me say anything because Im not completely disagreeing with you. Im saying that our government is no better and yes they do kill people who dont play by the rules. You heard of Ruby Ridge or Waco? There are probably many more that we dont hear about. Governments who dont play by our rules feel our wrath also. Hell a guy in Oklahoma had an anti Obama bumper sticker on his car and the Secret Service showed up at his house.

Back on Chavez in 1998 I have no doubt the election was fair. 2006 is another story but according to "international observers" it was a fair election. Im sure there are many people who disagree with him. They somehow find their way here to Florida where we have a HUGE Venezuela population so its not like hes forcing anyone to stay. Anyone who stays does it because they want to be there either that or they cant get a citizenship here in the states because its like pulling teeth to do so.

Once again he may be a thug but so is 98% of all of our representatives in Washington who screw us everytime we turn our heads. It was nice to go to the tea party and see people waking up so I still have hope for our country but we have our own issues here than to be worrying about Venezuela. We need to befriend them and sell them all the crap we can sell them. Lets sell them some of our GM cars so we dont have to keep bailing them out.

Come on now, you are being totally ludicrous. Even trying to compare the two is laughable and really makes you sound like a lunatic.

I don't know what you are talking about regarding a Obama bumper sticker but did they kill him? Didn't think so. Also, I'm sure if the story is true then there is more to it than you are saying.

Read up. There is nothing more to it it is exactly how i told u it was. Would you like me to get you the link where constitutionalists are being labeled as terrorists or Ron Paul supporters as terrorists?

Im no lunatic I can see beyond propaganda and tend not to listen to MSNBS or Fixed News. We have some serious issues in our country and people refuse to wake up to it because they are to busy fighting over D or R party

I knew you did not represent the story correctly.
This incident was a local stupid police officer and has nothing to do with the federal or state government so your comparison is moot.

Yes, this is wrong and the Obama administration should be very embarrassed for producing such a report. I am not surprised by this given Obama's past but generating a report and actually going out and killing the people in the report they regard as terrorists, as Chavez would do, are not comparable.

You are right about MSNBC but you should have been watching Fox News because they were the only media actually covering the tea parties and taking it seriously.

I recommend you read the article again. The secret service showed up at his house and searched his house.

Then delete your post about me misrepresenting facts. I only use facts

I think I may puke.

Our empire is crumbling because of 30 years of complete mismanagement. We are now bankrupt and in the process of turning into an authoritarian state. Sorry to break the news. Guns and gold is what I recommend.

Look, the only reason this became an issue was because a local police officer reported him. Of course when contacted by police the government agency in charge of such matters will have to check it out. They went to check it out. They did not search through his home, they did a walk through and talked to him. So again, the government did not initiate this because of a bumper sticker. The government did not pull him over because of his sticker. A local police officer who obviously had a problem initiated this and reported him to the feds. The feds would not be doing their job if they did not check it out after a police officer reported an issue.

So you did not represent it correctly because you portrayed it like the government pulled over this guy because of his bumper sticker.

Our "Empire" is crumbling because most Americans have absolutely no interest in ruling the planet, and even less in paying for an empire.

That's part of the reason Obama got elected - a big part.

While I have been disappointed in some aspects of the new administration so far, foreign policy is not one of them.

The President is finally bringing the country around to a truly post-Cold War foreign policy - 18 years too late, but better late than never.

Yes, they look like best buds in the pictures. And, Chavez called Obama an idiot a few weeks ago. I wonder if Obama is apologizing all over himself for America down there again like he did on the Europe trip.

This looks like the end of days I mean uh the start of a beautiful friendship. Sure Chavez called him an ignorant idiot but apparently since he is willingly taking our ex-prisoners/hostel guests from Gitmo in he can't be entirely bad right ?:

I guess Obama has no choice but to act friendly to Chavez because since Obama does not want America to be energy dependent by drilling and producing our own oil, he has to suck up to Chavez for their oil. Pathetic!

Sure he has a choice - he's only doing what he said he'd do.
Obviously the last administration failed - learning from their mistakes Obama is trying a different tactic - a wise move with a new administration.

As for sucking up to Cahvez for oil?
You drive a car?
Suck up that.
Until people stop using their cars and force the government to do something about the oil situation they've no right to point the finger.

lol

After reading some of these replies saying "Obama is weak for being friendly"... all I have to say is...

No wonder the US has so many enemies who want you all dead.

Apparently in your backward logic, cooperation, diplomacy and peace are bad ideas.

What a retarded country you live in.

If this line of thinking is common for Americans, I think the world might be better off turning its back on you.
