Aircraft Pilots film UFO over Pennsylvania:

video.google.com...

John Foster at the controls. Filmed by James Taylor. Not a hoax, an honest to goodness unknown.

Any ideas what this footage shows -the object seems to appear then disappear, only to then reappear and go into a nearby lake.
Could it be some sort of camera anomaly?
Cheers.

After seeing the video I have a few quick thoguhts on it:

After it "enters and exits the visible spectrum" ... the film is so low quality and you are supposed to see a "silver disc" of the such, right? The only thing I see is something that I think could be drawn in a photoshop type software if you could break down the frames. It is white in the middle and black on the outside.

The water portion is broken down to something I can barely make out and the fact it "dives" into the water near the coast, with no spash. I couldn't make out a spash at least. I couldn't make out much on the "corkscrew" effect they are talking about in the text there, and many other frames I couldn't see anything at all. I'm no expert on videos and I'm not saying the object isn't there, but for a camera to shoot such low video would be a cell phone maybe. I'd like to see some real video in high quality, if available.

Ah yes one more thing..

And under the water...This negates any "Plasma" theory... Or military craft... It is not a balloon, bird, or the planet Venus...

They forgot the swamp gas

I think its a fake..but i'd also like to say i think that UFO's oscillate and thats why it seems they disappear when they actually dont(in genuine videos)..of course im not an image specialist so i'd like to see experts opinion, but i think just from looking and judging that its a fake.

Why do all the sceptics come on and instantly start saying it's a fake without any evidence at all?

Just because YOU dont want to believe it's real doesnt mean that it's not...

I think this is a real video without any editing at all. And I also doubt that it's a camera effect your seeing... These guys are pilots who see all types of aircraft and they obviously filmed it because it was very unusual.

Exactly why i personally said *I think its a fake* not *It's a fake* why dont you look at what people write instead of instantly coming on here and telling people what they think or said?

My uneducated guess is that it was a droplet of water on the window, which either blew off or evaporated.

They use a slightly different method of compression. The fact that it is compressed and the method thereto explains the low quality. I bet the original is pretty crisp. I wonder if we can find the original.

I SO hope that the filming pilots would know the difference between a water droplette and a flying anomaly. 

I go along with Nohup's assessment. It looks like a water drop. The apparent motion of the object duplicates but exaggerates the motion of the background due to camera motion.

The object "in the water" could be almost anything. A large bird, another airplane. The quality make it impossible to tell. It displays no remarkable motion. There is no reason to think it's in the water.

The object "under water"? Again, the quality is terrible. Could be a reflection.

I don't see anything under the heading "corkscrew effect".

I always have a problem with videos that cut out the audio. Why cut out the audio unless there is something to hide? The audio is a vital clue to the validity of a video clip, to me anyway..

Phage you have used the water droplet explaination so much now I feel it should be added to the long lists of swamp gas, weather balloons etc

To me no audio, poor quailty =

Dubious I must say....

Found it quite funny though when this thing is supposedly going into the water how they deemed it necessary to point out that it wasn't the planet Venus.
A wry smile did grace my face...

I don't know the complete story behind the video, only what was on the site. I'll go out on a limb here and say that this was one of those "the UFO was not noticed when the video was taken, but discovered after review" things. I'm not saying for sure that's what it was. I'm not "debunking" it. But that's kind of what it looks like to me. The way it kind of jitters as it crawls up the window suggests it's getting hit by wind.

But I could be wrong. Please feel free to point out where you think it was aliens, or whatever. Something equally plausible.

Horrible fake.

12 Years an Animation Artist/graphic artist I have a good eye for motion and techniques, this thing is wobbling all over the frame because its (most likely) hand drawn over the video footage and not registered AT ALL with the background, hence the sliding motion. Its a dead give away in most fakes although its possible to do pretty accurate motion tracking in After Effects and other higher end software.

Anyway- this is abysmal..

Lol, I could imagine what the pilot of the craft was saying.

"Oh ****! Someone's filming us! Put the cloaking fields on! PUT THE CLOAKING FIELDS ON! Screw it, dive into that water, NOW! Crap, my supervisor is gonna be sooo pissed at me..."

At the beginning, the white blob moves in the same way as a vertical white line that we can see on the left, so I think it may be a reflection of something inside or on the other side of the aeroplane.

I will try to grab a frame or even make a small video to show what I mean.

Toward the end of the video they show three "ufos." It appears that they might be a manmade reflection from inside the plane because all the dots jump precisely with the airplane. It's very minor but it felt that way to me.

Next time I catch a UFO on film remind to NOT add any scary dramatic music lol

Here are two frames with the white object on it.

On the first photo the white object can be seen close to the left side of the image, a vertical whitish line.

On this second image the white object is at the same distance it was from the UFO.

On the video, it starts at 18 seconds and lasts just one second.

The first clip appears to either be a reflection off the glass (unless the camera is mounted outside the aircraft) or a tracking/video error (as the video quality is low). The USO portion could easily be a boat on the water, though its certainly an object and is unidentified...

It's certainly an unidentified object, that much is clear, but I doubt it'll convince any skeptics seeing as how the video quality is low and doesn't clearly show the nature of whatever the object is... An interesting clip, but nothing conclusive to be found here...
