What I'm saying is that if a conservative was in office instead of Obama, we'd probably be in the same place as we are now with the economic crisis or possibly worse.

That's what I meant.

All politicians are really the same with the exception of Ron Paul and I'm not sure what to make of him, if I like him or not.

I still love Obama, but whatever. No one listens.

You people just don't get it! It's not about Dem or Rep. It's not about right or left. It's not about Liberal or Conservative. It's about the salvation of this country and doing what is PRINCIPLED and MORALY right for this republic. A concept for which our politicians have no clue.

You will not get REAL CHANGE until you rid the government of all Democrats and all Republicans. These bloated, unresponsive entities no longer represent the American worker. They are too busy bending over for lobbyists representing multinational corporations and special interests with money to throw around. Lobbying should be illegal with the death penalty for those who break the law. Senators and Representatives are supposed to listen to their CONSTITUENTS. If somebody wants the Senators and Representatives to support an issue, they should lobby the CONSTITUENTS, and if the CONSTITIUENTS want their Senators and Representatives to know about it, they will tell them so.

So to wrap it up, get rid of Dems, Republicans, and lobbyists and we can turn this country around.

The only difference between a Republican and a Democrat is that the Republicans screw you right up front, while the Democrats try to screw you in the rear when you are not looking.

The tea party was hardly non partisan. I went to one here in new orleans, and most everyone there was lambasting obama and the democrats saying they were the cause of all our problems.

And please stop maligning socialism with lies and saying thats what obama is. Socialism, first and foremost, is about the people sharing ownership of the means of production. Nothing obama speaks of or is attempting has ANYTHING to do with handing ownership or control of banks, healthcare, or anything else over to the peoples control. He just wants the people to FINANCE it while the elite wealthy minority still retain ownership. Not socialism by a farcry, thats actually more fascism than anything else.

The tea party was non-partisan.

Some people however, are not. Some people buy in to the things the magic light box tells them. Moving pictures and flashing colors greatly excite some people and thus they get sucked in by the lies.

The msm, the thing all of those "conservatives" likely watch, are like magicians. They have no real abilities, they just practice sleight of hand, misdirection and deception.

I am sorry that us liberals are being hypocritical. I admit it. I see a day when my face looks as remorseful as the conservatives who supported Bush's hypocracy. Our hypocracy is mild, there is less at stake.

Apparently, how you perceive socialism and how others perceive it are two different things, huh?

Are you denying that Obama does not have a socialist bent, especially considering his background connections?

Are you denying that Team Obama is not made up of individuals known to have socialist affiliations, connections, and ideologies?

Did not the cover of the liberal rag Newsweek recently proclaim " We are all socialists now"?

I am denying it. All that is propaganda garbage. As i stated, socialism, at its core, is ownership of the means of production by all the people. This is in no wise supported by obama or any of his affiliates. A single payer health system, that INCLUDES the insurance industries, is NOT socialism, it is still control of the system by the wealthy elite corporate business owners. True socialist systems would by necessity be NON PROFIT, at least for individuals, as all the profit would be returned back to the people, and our system, including obama and all his affiliates, are ALL about profit. All his major contributors where large multinational corporations, just like mccain and all the other candidates...except for maybe ron paul, mike gravel, and perhaps kucinich.

In our country we paint any "social programs" as socialism, perhaps because they share the word "social" and americans seem unable to differentiate between similar sounding words, Just as when Barrack "hussein" obama was running for president and many ignorant americans kept pointing out that he shared a name with saddam, and must therefore be similar to him.

In truth, very few americans actually understand anything about socialism, including the fact that most socialist democracies (Those exist, you know) in western europe actually have better quality of life, standard of living, life expectancy, healthcare systems, education, etc than we americans with our system. Then again, most americans think we live in a democracy as well.

Liberals are no more hypocritical then conservatives. The fact that such a thing is even being suggested is outright laughable. To borrow a trite expression, both groups are nothing more than two sides of the same coin.

Man this is so ridiculous, libs blame the cons, cons blame the libs...

Neither side is innocent!

Whoever you vote for government wins.

Government is not designed to take care of the working class, it's designed to maintain the status quo of the wealthy elite ruling over the rest of us. Government maintains the state, the system of control through the ownership of the means of production by those more privileged. ALL forms of government do this. There is NO such thing as a socialist government. The whole idea behind socialism is giving the 'power to the people', corny cliche I know, but as long as we have government, of any kind, the problems we face will never end. Instead we'll just go on complaining that this side, or that side, are not doing what we would like them to.

I have one thing to say to that, shut the hell up and get off your ass, and take some responsibility for your life instead of expecting a government to do it for you.

All government by their very definition are totalitaristic. None of you will ever have the liberty you desire while being under the control of government.

You are doing exactly what this whole system wants you to, arguing amongst yourselves while the government and corporations conspire to gain more power and control. Another cliche, together we stand, divided....

Stop expecting government to be your big brother, and realize you can govern your own life. There is no authority but yourself.
