Gov. Rick Perry: Texas Could Secede, Leave Union

www.huffingtonpost.com
AUSTIN, Texas -- Texas Gov. Rick Perry fired up an anti-tax "tea party" Wednesday with his stance against the federal government and for states' rights as some in his U.S. flag-waving audience shouted, "Secede!"

An animated Perry told the crowd at Austin City Hall -- one of three tea parties he was attending across the state -- that officials in Washington have abandoned the country's founding principles of limited government. He said the federal government is strangling Americans with taxation, spending and debt.

Might want to have your modulator adjusted, if you think this is a good thing.

And THIS is the first time the middle class gets a tax cut??? You've got to be a real youngster to think that.

No, this whole issue cannot be a good thing for the U.S. as we've come to know it.

Now what was that Titor prediction about a U.S. civil war? Didn't it happen between the traditionally "red" and "blue" states - urban vs. rural?

I'm no youngster and know that the middle class tax cut is our biggest yet. Perry postures to crowds that can be easily led.

Perry can take Texas for all I care -

Then they can protest the fire dept, police and bike lanes...

I wonder how they will like PAYING for all their own roads and infrastructure-

LOWER taxes

Texas can fight Mexico and then wonder where their veg food is going to come from.

Let em eat eachother Texas sucks IMO!

Each state pays for their own road and other infrastructure. thats were our tax money goes. the FEDS take the money from the states and the people and then tell the states how to spend it.

Texas or any state for that matter would do just fine without the federal government telling them they have to spend x amount of dollars for BS projects instead of spending it on the up keep of roads schools and hospitals.

100% of taxes taken in this country goes to servicing the interest on the borrowing we do to pay for roads and schools. This mean we are perpetually in debt no matter what we do. Anyone who thinks we actually cut taxes on anyone is misguided at best. No one ever cuts taxes, they just move them, and then people wonder why we suffer from class warfare.
