Tea Parties

interactive.foxnews.com

Indianapolis, It's April 15, and thousands of Tax Day demonstrators from Boston to California party like it's 1773.
(visit the link for the full news article)

Glen Beck is also staging one in San Antonio, if interested. It is all live.

Don't know if a similar post has been posted, looked though.

Incase anyone wants to have a live update of how it is going, here it is.

Thanks for moving this thread mods! Had to update it since it's correct now.

I hope it doesn't get as ridiculous as the G20, but I hope a point is made. I'm sick of taxes.

I think Ron Paul had bigger rallies that never had as much Fox news coverage. The tea bag parties are more a joke to me than anything. Just a Fox news propaganda campaign with no leggs.

It really has the potential, and they showed clips of CNN saying that the protestors are "anarchists" and "Anti CNN'' when one of the men tried to explain why they were there, the CNN news reporter said after cutting him off midway sentence then continued to say, that she will not report because the protest is not safe for families to watch.

That screams at me, how is this not family safe to watch?

they are using disinfo to discredit the tea parties. this is going to turn into a republican bashing tool instead of raising awareness of government corruption. the MSM will find the most ignorant people and show the most extreme video clips they can find to discredit the ralllies and make the protesters look like "right-wing extremist"

As of right now it's very peaceful.

Right Wing, Left Wing. Taxes effect us all, (Except for those applying for a job in the IRS). Your boss, doesn't lay you off because your a republican or a democrat. (Well he/she shouldn't).

Fox will play it up, MSM will discredit it. That's how it works basically. I just hope the guys in that building realize they can't keep screwing us over.

All opinions accepted. Be kind please.

Well of FOX apparently someone's tea bagging is being brought to you by BOFA, EXTENDS (boner pills) and AIG ( ya the AIG who took the socialisms )-

Gotta love FOX

Your fighting the spending and the recipients are sponsoring your protests of TV...

I'm not saying it makes sense by any stretch.j

It is self defeating. by a stretch of the word.

I woke up today, and wondered where the hell I am.

Advertising tactics these days. Starbucks selling in the G20 protests. Well maybe then didn't need a bailout, just you know a protest a bring in revenue that way?

I don't really even know what to make of this video. I saw it by chance flipping through channels and decided this might be a decent place to post it.

Pretty sure this is what you were referring to republican08.

Since when is Fox not considered MSM? It's not that I'm pro taxes, but if Fox News is behind this it's only because of the current administration. Where were these Tea Parties during the Bush era? Oh that's right we were supposed to "Shut up" while the war in Iraq went on.

Glen Beck has a big crowd by the ALAMO...

Although his stinks of GOP take over - "While its not about that"

I don't by it - at least on Becks behalf

Is it me, or when I look into the crowds, I see a lot of white faces, oriental faces, and hispanic faces, but very few black faces? These are people who are protesting the excessive taxes they are being compelled to pay, and now are looking at a massive federal debt that will likely continue for generations.

Why would that be?

The composition of the crowd?

Look at it for yourself!

I attended one earlier today, and while my local one was organized by people who were clearly conservative Republicans, I am in the South and they number greatly here. It was clearly stated it was a "nonpartisan" effort, and I noticed not everyone bowed their heads when a pastor lead in prayer.

This is an American problem, the government dishing out trillions to companies. Its time we stop with the two party system ( didn't George Washington -WARN- against a two party system for this same reason and more? ) allow things to fail that need to fail, and allow growth back into our markets.

So what if a company goes under? Yes, it will suck for awhile, but the sun will still rise tomorrow, along with more VARIETY and jobs brought on by the pressure for them.

We can't save all, and when we try we fail. . . Ok, that was a good rant!

Dooper.

First black president, limited amount of people that are black, would protest him!

Just how the woman is plainly disgusted at the Hitler mustache on Obama, we saw that millions of times in the bush admin, but not much disgust, "oh similar". Is all we heard.

I think everyone should be upset by it. Except for AIG, there just fine.

Let's see how everything goes the first 90 days, hmmm, ok just give him 8 more years guys, if things aren't great, then we'll elect a republican. And so on and so on.

We keep getting screwed over, meanwhile.

Plus alot of people are still waiting for another round of stimulus checks, thus begins the cycle of Gov't feed me, clothe me, teach me, train me, walk me. Gov't Dependance.

I smell a troll lurking in the darkness.

Btw off-topic. You should really take in to consideration the ideals that other people have. Yes, even those who disagree with you. You need to try some deference. You might make less enemys in the world. Just some freindly advice.

I hope everyone sees CNN and MSN for what they really are. How dare they try to discredit honest working Americans for rightfully speaking their mind. I know Fox generally is not much better but at least they are not insulting the protesters and acting that way. That reporter must be a Janet Reno lover.

Funny how fringers here go on about playing "the race card" but then they continously play "the race card".

I think thats highly stereotypical coming from you. Blacks have always been majority democrat, liberal, and you know that. The fact your trying to make an issue out of race now says wonders about how hypocritical you folks are.

I was quite shocked when I saw that eariler today. No news outlet is completely spin free, but to interrupt them like that to their face and cut them off while they were trying to speak their minds was quite horrible.

And did anyone notice how Obama had a press conference on TAXES scheduled for 11:55 am? 5 minutes before the bulk of Tea parties started? My crazy sense was a'tinglin' at that. . .

I did vote for Obama, and while I do not want to crucify the poor man, he does need to be abit stronger to the older people "behind the throne" as it were who hold the -real- power nowadays.
