It's OK to give billions of dollars to Private banking firms. It's OK, to be rich and not pay taxes. It's OK to Bomb countries we are not at war with. It's ok to expand warrentless wiretapping. It's ok to do all of that......as long as it's a democrat who does it. Apparently.

You want a Conservative solution to our economic problem? Here it is. Stop spending money you don't have on crap made in China that you can't afford. Don't be an idiot and think that because you make 60k a year, that you should purchase that 300k house. You don't need 3 cars, 4 TVs, 2 computers, 5 digital cameras, and 4 variants of an Ipod.

Actually I hope Our Lord Obama and Reich Marshall Gietner continue to try to save this system, as that will most certainly speed up it's demise.

The economic system you are bragging about saving is the same system that has enslaved countless children in sweatshops. It has thrown the entire third world into poverty...forever. It has led to Quasi Corporate control of the State. It is the reason we have been in a perpetual state of war since World War 2 And it is also the reason for this economic fracas we are in......

Yes, don't worry, Obama will make sure that all the of the above described will continue to happen, he's even conjured up money out of thin air like a medieval Alchemist to ensure that. What a guy...

Don't feel bad, Keith Olbermann should be on soon, I'm sure he'll turn you into a nice "inflate the dollar and kill everyone in poor nations" kinda liberal in a year or two. Stayed Tuned!

In order for the Republicans to have a decent shot at the 2012 election they have to come up with concrete ideas. Real working ideas that will actually help.

Spelling out Obama's mistakes and errors isn't going to do them any good. Promising tax cuts isn't going to help anyone either.

Anyone going up against Obama in 2012 is going to be labled a "Bush Republican"

And GOP for the love of all that is good and decent in the universe please PLEASE don't parade Karabu Barbie out again.

Charlie Christ would be a good choice except hes pretty spineless. Bobby is a complete joke after his failed attempt at rebutting the state of the union.

Sounds like me describing YOU when Bush was in...

Your fellow struck the match and poured the gas

If Obama pulls off a fricken miracle with this mess JR fired up, GOP will be in the toilet
for a good long while.

2012 GOP national convention dialogue in full - party platform

1. You aren't describing me when Bush was in power. I disagreed with plenty of things that he did, but I also think he got an extremely bad rap from people who are incapable of letting go of partisan hatred like the OP

2. "Terror terror commie terror commie terror lazy. Obama terror Osama terror vigilant... Steadfast evildoer commie wmd Obama socialist socialistism commie."

- Uh yeah, that's wishful thinking on your part, but in fact the Obama administration, under the Department of Homeland Security, just released a PDF document making the exact same accusations of "right wing extremists" and even went so far as to include war veterans in that group.

www.washingtontimes.com...

I can't predict what the RNC of 2012 will look like, but the Democrats will have had a 3 year head start doing exactly what you "claim" the Republicans will do in the future.

I think this needs to be reiterated:

Three months into his presidency, Barack Obama stands out as perhaps the most trusted figure in American politics.

In a new Public Strategies Inc./POLITICO national survey of 1,000 registered voters, Obama outdistances figures on both the left and the right in earning the public’s trust, with two-thirds of respondents saying they trust the president “to identify the right solutions to the problems we face as a nation.”

Of those who said they trust the president, 31 percent said they trust him “a great deal.” An additional 35 percent said they have “some” trust that Obama will find the correct solution. Thirty-one percent said they trust Obama either “not very much” or “not at all.”

Voters were asked the same question of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), Republican Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska, former Massachusetts Republican Gov. Mitt Romney, conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh and the two major political parties. Among those choices, only the Democratic Party was trusted to find the right solutions by a majority of voters, 52 percent to 40 percent. Forty percent of those surveyed said they trusted the Republican Party, compared with 54 percent who did not trust the GOP.

www.politico.com...

Note that is says all registered voters... not just Democrats or those who voted for Obama... and if you don't understand the implications of that... it means Republicans and independents as well.

If the Republican party remains married to the same old disproven ideas and moves even further to the right and If the Republican party remains the party of no without any ideas other than attack attack attack they are going to remain in the wilderness for years to come. Because no matter how they fuss and fume its obvious that at least right now that the people prefer Obama and the Democrats over them.

And again, what you just posted would be an OPINION, not quite a fact. Just in case you didn't know the difference between the two.

What do you mean degrade? What was the point of this thread in the first place if not to throw sand in the face of the GOP by using an article on Politico as a means to keep it up on the board?

If you look at Grover's posting history, he/she has a consistent history of deriding, laughing at and posting hate-filled messages toward anything non-Obama and especially anything pro-GOP.

The conservatives have ideas, but right now people are still incensed at the GOP because of their hate of the Bush administration. For a Republican to win any election in a truly neutral area would be a damn miracle at the present time. By the time the Congressional elections come up next year and the Obama administration and the majority-Democratic Congress have stepped all over the rights of people I think the hatred of the Bush party will have been put aside and replaced by enough outrage at the Democrats that we might have a fair shot getting Republicans elected.

And you don't do the opposite?

Actually if you actually go through my posts one thing is consistant and that is I have said repeatedly that there are plenty of good and decent conservatives and/or Republicans out there who I respect (and some I agree with sometimes) but that your party has been taken over by movement conservative extremists who have run it into the ground. As long as they are in charge of your party... it will remain a party of nihilism... of no. Its ideas are bankrupt.

AND since the polls I cited reflect a rough consenus of the electoriate... its more than just my opinion.

And its he btw.

Good one! You almost had me going!

Um I think it has been proven BOTH sides are experts at chaos!

I dont understand your point, it was a republican president that did all that.
Unless I been asleep the last eight years and thats always possible.

Analogy here:
Vote Republican or I'll kill ya, vote Democrat or I'll cry! nuff said.

P.S. I dont see anyone getting tried for war crimes, and etc, etc, etc................
But blow jobs? yes.

The more I watch the leaders of the GOP the more I wonder whether the party that exists now will still be around in 2012... more and more I am beginning to believe that it will fracture into its component parts.
