is that a Ghost caught on camera ?

or just a blurry image of a person walking ?

A BRITISH council has called in local ghostbuster experts to review CCTV footage which appears to show a ghost on the grounds of a hall.

Liverpool City Council in the UK has called in experts to study the footage which appears to show a ghost in the grounds of Croxteth Hall.

Councillor Berni Turner, Liverpool city council's executive member for the environment, said she was keeping an open mind about the investigation.

"I'm a huge believer in the paranormal and think this footage is really interesting," she added. "It's great to think that we may have ghosts walking around these beautiful grounds."

City bosses have suggested that the site could be haunted by the 7th Earl of Sefton, Hugh William Osbert Molyneux, who lived at the hall until his death in 1972.

Another theory is that the ghost could be the 2nd Earl of Sefton, William Philip Molyneux, who laid the foundation stone for Aintree Racecourse and is believed locally to revisit the hall every year at the time of the Grand National.

What do you think it is? Check out the footage here.

My theory is it is a bug or small moth walking over the screen, it doesnt even look remotely ghostly. Not a fake but a case of misinterpretation.

This certainly doesn't look like a bug at all. The legs seem to alternate when it walks. This seems to be a real video of a ghost, and the shape is distinctly human. Watch when it approaches the road, and the movement of its legs at that point. This is not an insect. Starred and flagged.

Bugs have legs, and antennae they move.
If this was coming into view from the back of the lawn and coming closer the it would appear to be closer, it stays the same size the whole time.
That is unless you are watching a better quality vid than i.
I stand by bug.
And compared to the trees in the foreground it would be one huge ghost.
Not to mention the roads around Croxteth Hall are huge they are designed to support horse and carriages, thats not a footpath you see its a road.

Walking upright like a human? Most bugs are a bit different, not humanoid. Also, watch his legs, even thighs as he walks. This is a human gait! There is not a chance this is a bug, but a very large chance this is a ghost, or even another dimensional being. There alternate timelines, there are different possibilities, such as an alternate earth even. But this quite something special that is found on this film.

lol
Its walking from the top of the screen to the bottom like a fly on your tv, its not on the ground, pay attention. Believe what you will i have just told you what it is an why, you cant see any legs in that vid its just as the op said a blur. I have nothing more to add.

i guess it could be a bug, but i don't see any evidence whatsoever that proves that theory

it is very interesting when the "Ghost" gets close to the pathway. it appears to grow in size at that point. could it be image bleed ? i don't know

here is another vid

Look about five seconds in. THe blur reaches the road and changes direction as if it knows it has reached the road.

The why exactly then did this massive ghost when it reached the road (not footpath) not turn the other way and go straight up the steps. I mean it moves like a bug in short punchy moves, not imaginary strides. Bugs are erratic they turn often. Im sorry but ive watched this so often now its not a ghost.

In the second video that easynow posted, it appears that (whatever it is) comes down from the sky, and then floats across the road. I thought bug to start off as well, but when it gets to the road (if it is a bug) it starts crabwalking (sideways walking) instead of turning and walking head on.... so that rules out moth for me because I can't recall ever seeing a moth do this.

So, we have something floating down from the sky, and then floating across the road lol.

Is it possible that it is somebody wearing some kind of incredibly reflective gear (or the lights were just right), and the whole brightness of it all gives the illusion of him floating down from the sky (making him look at times like he's popping out of the back drop in a weird way or something)
Maybe some kind of crazy reflective rain poncho for walking around at night so you don't get hit by a car?

Or maybe he spent too much time around radioactive material

Just saying. It definitely gives me the impression of a human walking, that sort of gait....long before a bug, is all.

hi phoebeflakes, the suggestion of reflective clothing is a good one, as my whole family and fiance work in coal mines so their uniforms have lots of reflective tape/ reflective patches on them! But it doesn't look too much like it to me
Besides, how do you explain the way it looks as though it is floating down from the sky? Could be an optical illusion? I'm not too sure hehe

I have to say bug on this one, the object is quite obviously on the lens. There is no interaction between the object and the ground at any point. Look at this short video below, notice any similarities?

This is achieved by the videomaker (James Randi) holding a bit of paper on a coathanger close to the camera, due to the depth of focus it becomes a blur. Simples!

Well to me it looked just as easily like he was taking a shortcut across the ground in the backdrop, but the light was bouncing off him in such a way to make him pop out and look floaty lol
It looks like he is walking just the same at the point he is said to be floating, nearly as much as when he appears to be on the ground.

Reflective strips are one thing, and like the apparel used in the mines, would show up as strips, not a glowing gown, but I've seen my own boyfriend completely cover stuff in reflective tape for the hell of it, among otherr things, like using electricians tape to completely cover stuff or make stuff out of.
A poncho made of or covered in completely some reflective material just doesn't seme all that far out to me...

And they come in many shapes and sizes. The object in the video seems short for a person, comparatively, to the walkway, so if this were the case, and he was wearing such an item, it would explain why it covered his entire body.
There are some 'extreme ponchos' out there too lol like this one...www.walkandramble.co.uk...

But then again, the bug theory doesn't seem terribly impossible either, nor unlikely at all.....
Hmm....

Whatever this thing is, its not giving off a shadow. That's the first thing i always look for in these kind of videos. Everything physical gives a shadow, whatever this thing was didn't show it as there was a shadow. It could be a pampered and edited video. Whatever this thing was covered an amazing amount of ground in just a few secs, and like the previous poster mention, it knew when it hit the walk way and changed direction, almost as if it slowed down.

The proportion of the white imagine seems kind of off too, if you notice it, it seems as if the object floats down from the sky and then when it hits the ground moves in another direction. When it goes half way to the ground, I compare it to the street that next to it, and like the other previous poster mention whatever this thing was huge. Larger then the tree trunk. So it was definitely larger then a regular man. I'm starting to think it could be some sort of debris on the camera lens. Something isn't matching up.
