Good one. Having just read pages and pages to study for a test...
Well... Just let me say that I was... 'Hooked".

Good story!
I'm pretty sure you're Douglas Adams reincarnated. Did anybody else make that connection?
And as for the person not getting the humore in this, I'm terribly sorry. It's more British humor I suppose, and some Americans either don't find it funny or they don't get it at all. I think it's more intelligent humor, but that's just my opinion.

Marvelous! Simply marvelous! Bravo! Well done. I have read several "clumsy" attempts at fiction on ATS...yours was the first true piece of writing I've seen on here. Loved it!

I was definitely going to say, very Douglas Adams. I just knew it would be the warranty call at the end. Very funny stuff! And of course the world would have to end before anyone would ever respond to those ridiculous phone calls. Just wonderful

Fantastic story! I particularly liked the fact that the numbers are actually the "code" to save the world.

Edit: If I knew how to I would star and flag you.

Seriously. You need to move to LA and start writing and making movies. I would pay 10 bucks to see this movie.

To the OP amazing story! LOL, I love the part quoted below:

“We’ve been calling every phone number on your planet for the past three years, and you’re the first person who’s responded.”

Yep, I probably would have been one of the ones who just hung up lol...
very good writting skills!

Awesome. Even though I loved the story, I don't get what the rest of you are laughing about.

It is very ironic - yes. Entertaining - yes. Funny - not for me.

Thanks a million.
