A toxic fungicide in imported furniture is behind an outbreak of chronic dermatitis, skin burns, eye irritation and breathing difficulties across the world. Medical experts here are warning consumers to watch for symptoms.

The international journal Allergy has confirmed what thousands of British and mainland European citizens have known for more than a year: new leather sofas imported from China are a hotbed of allergens.

how is this NOT becoming deliberate?

the worst part is that this has happened before and now it is happening again

Is QA not part of production any longer?

I'm not sure they're deliberately trying to poison us it's just that the standards are so low. When the manufacturing process is intended to just be low cost, things like this are bound to be common.

Good post but must you pun-ish us with a title like that........

There is an outbreak of "allergies" and respiratory problems and severe eye irritation happening all around the globe - and not just to people who have furniture from China.
Sorry - but it's bigger than the furniture issue. Much bigger.

Wow, that's ridiculous. It reminded me of when my dad bought a sofa and they offered him a service where they cover the entire thing with Scotchguard, and for only like 60 bucks! I was like, let me think about this.........NO!!!!

Gotta love it when we poison ourselves without knowing about it or how we don't really care if we develop poisons as long as we make a buck.
