Why aliens live in the ground

I think it's because:

1. Greys come from the ground
2. They come from space and hide in the ground so they can't be seen

anyways. there was a good post i was reading yesterday on how its a possibility that the greys are an 'underground' dwelling race that has evolved alongside man on this earth. im partially convinced, but i really dont know what to believe.

Right, maybe their whole civilization lives under the surface of one of the gas-giants' moons, or something? It's a great way to hide. And, it's even a great way to "undermine" the dominant species of a planet, if it's a surface-dweller. And, if they use stargates to warp around, then why not bury these gates, and keep hidden? Makes for a great smuggling-ring operation. Especially, if you're smuggling living beings against the will and laws of the Galactic Federation.

I have thought this about the grays for many years, now. I likey.
