Living in an area of the world that has not only some of the oldest exposed crust on the planet ( Canadian Shield), but also in a small spot that contains hundreds of deep caves (Bruce Peninsula), I'd be lying if I said that the idea of retreating to one if the S ever HTF.

There are legends here which say that some of these caves run for miles and miles and even emerge onto Manitoulan Island from the peninsula. That's not been verified, but I'm willing to believe those stories the Chippewa have handed down through the millenia rather than disbelieve it because it hasn't been discovered yet. There's likely hundreds of caves no-one knows about.

Another thought I've had on this is the exploration of caves. If large numbers of humans took to them, they would naturally take to searching every nook and cranny, wouldn't they? I wonder what they'd find...

Interesting ending, QA. Just a dream after all?
Or was it another level of consciousness that made it seem that way?
