Peace be upon you
9/4 marks the sixth anniversary of the U.S. invasion of Iraq, an event some have called the greatest strategic disaster in U.S. history and other as the libration day. I won't repeat the Iraqi civilian death tolls, statistics of American lives lost, and the dramatic stories of the millions of displaced, disabled, Mental illness, insanity of both sides. Nor will I recount the extraordinary failure of Bush`s demonstration. This thread can be considered as novel one, it represents the voice of victims, the inner feeling, struggle and suffering of people who are really in touch with the Reality and from the consequences of occupation .what I intend to explain is that there will be translated texts of randomly-chosen comments from an Iraqi forum which may represent the city of Mosul and post them here on the ATS .We in this forum introduce this town as the voice of truth. Almawsil forum (only Arabic language) is an ordinary forum discusses the political situation in Nineveh province as well as the government in Baghdad. By the way the new elected governor of our city, Athel AL-najafie, is one of our members. He has a special area within the forum, where the people can offer him help using their experiences or participate with their useful ideas and Tips to improve and rebuild the town. Today we have a special thread where they members can post their reaction toward the anniversary of invasion. I hope that I will be able to deliver this massage to the people of United States of America.

Hello, thank you for being so understanding. What we allowed our governments to do to Iraq and it's innocent victims is unforgettable.

We (myself included) had been brainwashed, by our "superior" western media and their spin on the events leading up to 911 during, and after.
I myself wanted to join the army to "kill Muslim terrorists" without understanding the injustice to many Muslims around the world. I was angry and didn't even know why.

A good friend of mine "woke me up" and hell I was mad. But this time I was mad at the people (?) that perpetrated the myth and lies of the connection of 911 and Iraq - which was NONE. I understand the absolute tragedy of the Iraq war and your people, and only can offer you my love and support...and if any one tries to justify that war I will educate them with FACTS.

You are a great people, strong, and history dictates the creation of modern civilization was in ancient Iraq and the surrounding areas. We had been brainwashed by our own education system into believing you are a primitive people. How wrong that is.

May I offer you some hope, in the form of a change in consciousness that IS happening now - and fast. People everywhere who are not even aware of the real deal are starting to understand. We no longer accept the lies that we are told, and question everything with intent. We will eventually win. They are losing ground in everything they do.

So as a fellow human being on a beautiful planet we all inhabit and love - soon we shall all co-exist in peace , love and harmony.

I love Iraq and I love all people in the world - and see everyone as an individual , and most importantly, we are all equal. Everyone of us.

Can we just call you Al for short? Sorry for the mess we made over there. This is also a great opportunity to start fresh and hopefully not end up with a corrupt govt just like the one we have here. It would also be great if your govt keeps religion out of politics. That concept doesn't work here either and it wont work there. It may seem as asking too much but this really is your chance to become a great prosperous country. Good luck with keeping corruption and religion out of politics.

Today represents a dark spot on every Iraqi virtuous , who is in passion of this charitable

He and his butchers just loooooooved their rape rooms.
They had women raped in front of their husbands and children.
They videotaped the rapes and killings.
Saddam stole billions of dollars from the Iraqi people.
Saddam stole the Oil For Food money.
Saddam built mansions while he stole and raped the people.

He sent them off to wars against Iran and Kuwait.
Killing millions of Iraqis as he did this. Killing millions of Iranians and Kuwaitis.

As I already mentioned that I represent myself, a common Iraqi citizen. Neither have I had a connection to any government or none-government organization, nor to any terror, resistance or other anti-American individuals.

The suicide bombers are result and reaction to the invasion; it’s not my idea and will never be my agenda not now or in the future...
Today at 13:00 clock Baghdad time, there was a big explosion on the Southside of Mosul. A suicide bomber went into an american-iraqi base, five US soldiers have been killed and dozens of injury.
Keep the sandwich for yourself and have some respect to others, we are different nations!

You do not know that. Only eye witnesses do know the real truth...

What we possibly have here is eye witness (OP), his opinion versus opinion of the Mass Media (controlled more or less by our government)
