Well, to be fair to the police, the media strategy is usually about interacting with the local community (which they feel is important, particularly in Muslim neighbourhoods.) It's not just about telling the tabloids what they've done.

So they are saying that they (the suspects) were planning coordinated attacks on Easter shoppers - probably bank holiday monday which is supposed to be the busiest shopping day of the year (not too sure about that, thought half the shops were closed on bank holidays
but I don't like shopping much)

Just as a follow-up all 12 Arrested have been released with no charges whatsoever

Trust this government to frame Muslims right before a Christian holiday, claiming they were about to launch an all-out suicide attack with explosives that were never even there in the first place.
