A full-scale criminal inquiry should be held into the death of a newspaper seller at the G20 protests after shocking video footage emerged of an officer shoving his father to the ground minutes before he died of a heart attack, the Liberal Democrats have said.
Ian Tomlinson, 47, was hit with a baton and pushed to the floor from behind by an officer in riot gear after getting caught up in the demonstrations in central London last Wednesday evening.
