In late May, Data.gov will launch, in what US CIO Vivek Kundra calls an attempt to ensure that all government data 'that is not restricted for national security reasons can be made public' through data feeds.

All Files Will Be Downloadable!

What do you think this means? Will this be a propaganda site? will they track who downloads? or do you think it's actually going to be a 'good' site?

The site is down as of right now... cached version link below, i can't wait to see what they put up on this!

I'm willing to bet they'll just release a whole bunch of nothing, I highly doubt any useful information will be revealed.

But then again, who knows?

My bet goes to Propaganda and the illusion of truth.... but it might be too soon to call it in the air.

I'm guessing it will be a bunch of stuff like reiteration of laws and bills passed, everyday government spending receipts, contracts that have no real value or useful information, etc.
I am willing to bet this will simply be tons of information that gets censored before actually released onto the web.
