Chinese Firm Indicted for Misusing Banks, Aiding Iran

April 7 (Bloomberg) -- A Chinese company that supplies banned weapons to Iran and its manager were charged with concealing the company’s identity from U.S. banks, Manhattan District Attorney Robert Morgenthau said.

“What we’re trying to do is make every effort to prosecute a company that is perhaps the largest supplier of weapons of mass destruction to Iran,” Morgenthau said at a press conference. “We want to have transparency in these dealings so that everybody understands what the Iranians are up to.”

Wow.

The chinese caught red-handed (exactly) aiding iran in the acquisition of weapons of mass destruction, namely ballistic missile and nuclear weapons related technology. Before all the iran and china apologists show up, read the article. These items are basically items that are only used to build missiles and uranium enrichment devices.

Well I wouln't jump the gun yet. It seems they are trying to push a little more propaganda about Iran and China since the G20 didn't really go as planned.

It's believable, although I'm sure the details have been sensationalized to add more "flare" to the story. I"ll wait for more independant reports before making a concrete decsision on the matter.

Remember only yesterday did they announce that maybe Obama would be willing to allow Iran to continue it's enrichment program for energy, with a story surfacing like this the next day, that makes it very convenient for him to say her tried, but Iran has given him no choice.

If it's true it just shows that China they really doesn't care for a peaceful resolution in the region. And further "if" it is true then it does not matter whats going on between Tehran and Washington because Beijing is in the back rooms trying to undermined any peaceful resolution to this sticky issue.
