plaaaaaay baaaaaaall...............

I was going to do a thread on the ever anticipated baseball season, but this year a boycott will be in effect all season long.

I have a problem with the adverb "play".

Most of us work for a living and our "playtime" is limited to a few hours after work or our short weekends.

My precious "playtime" will not spent sitting on my butt watching young millionaire "players" ( be it baseball, football, golf, tennis, etc.).

Nor will I waste my time spending way too much cash and effort to see these superstar "players" in person.

Instead I will play more music, spend more time "playing" with my kids and sig. other.

Thanks baseball but I'm all "played ' out.

I used to follow baseball like no other, I knew triple A teams , double A

Could name top ERA top batting Avg,

Id attend 15-18 games a year , watch 40-50 on TV

Then the strike happened, And I realized that I cared more about the sport

than the owners or the players
