Obama has won ATS. Disinformation abounds. You have given him power. He and Congress thank you.

I repeat, he has won ... IF you do not read and understand exactly what his LEGAL powers are - and I feel safe in saying that the majority here will not do this.

There have been countless threads stating that Obama has given over the country's soverignty, etc. to different world agencies. This is EXACTLY what he wants you to believe because if you believe he has that authority then he has deflected where the real blame should be laid - the Congress - and he has increased his power over YOU. He has stated many times that he will take responsibility for all of this - this is because he wants us to think that the responsibility is his to take.

Obama cannot appropriate money to the IMF or anywhere else - he can't even sign a treaty without Congress' approval. Congress is the one that appropriates money. While you're all being pissed at Obama, Congress is working in the background TO GET RE-ELECTED one year from now so they can continue with their agenda. Obama's not up for re-election for three more years and they know how short Americans' memories are. He is just a deflection. Americans don't know what he is legally limited to and, therefore, accept that he can legally do all that he says he can do. THIS IS FALSE.
www.abovetopsecret.com...
The Executive CANNOT pass laws or appropriate money. Only Congress has that power. It is up to us to know who has what legal powers and when they overstep those powers, it is up to us to call them on it, it is also up to us to elect responsible people to where the REAL power is - Congress. Otherwise, they will have won.

1.) When Obama signs an executive order, READ IT, if it is not limited to adjusting POLICY of an EXISTING law, then it is illegal and must be fought. An executive order cannot legislate new or expanded laws. Only bills passed in Congress can do that.
2.) When Obama promises money to the IMF or anywhere else, pay attention to what's up in Congress that will actually fund that promise, and yell about that instead.

If you really want to do something about the mess we're in, you don't have to attend "tea parties" or anything else, hell, you don't even have to leave your computer! I'm not dis'ing tea parties, I think they're good for making people realize that they're not alone in this. But tea party attendance is not mandatory, knowledge of the structure of our government IS.

Congress, The past administration and the courts have all betrayed us and the constitution. This guy has only been in office for a few months and all the problems we face are problems he did not create. Our Constitution has been eroded bit by bit. The real damage has been since the Reagan era, but there has been a effort to weaken the constitution since the beginning.

Don't blame Obama blame yourself! We have all allowed this to happen.

No kidding. I know youreonlyhuman and all, but perhaps the title should be Obama *should* thank ATS. Obama thanks ATS will get this thread a lot of views all of which will be disappointed.

I have to agree I actually thought Obama had done one of his many tv appearances and thanks us here at ATS..

Well thanks us for giving him a place where all of us that question him are in one place and therefore a lot easier to track but hey....

I would think he'd appreciate his disinfo agents, like the dog woman, here at ATS quite a lot more than at huffy, kos or moveon; seeing as the people who frequent those sites are already Obama moonbats.

This thread has gotten off track so let's pull it back on track.

Does anyone here disagree that Americans, in general, do not know enough about the structure of the U.S. government to call the Executive and Legislative on things when they overreach their legal boundaries?

Does anyone here disagree that Obama is using a tactic of deflecting the blame from the REAL people responsible for political purposes?

Does anyone here disagree that many threads on ATS are, intentionally or unintentionally, disinformation because of an ignorance of governmental structure and roles?

Does anyone here disagree that the motto of ATS is "deny ignorance"?

BS. This forum is filled with more anti-Obama propaganda threads ever, go down into the history books of this site and see for yourself. A person cant go out and proclaim their own supportive Opinion about the man without being heckled as "sheeple" or what have you.

Incredibly hypocritical. You folks flood the forum with anti-Obama glenn beck talk, you reference your information from far right partisan websites then you post this garbage. Really now.

I repeat, he has won ... IF you do not read and understand exactly what his LEGAL powers are - and I feel safe in saying that the majority here will not do this.

Its not so much that he has won the election and bringing the nation the up, its regarding the fact the old outdated imperialist "conservative" gaurd of america is dying, and so let it be. We are better off without it.

There have been countless threads stating that Obama has given over the country's soverignty,

Exactly, and here you are going on about disinformation.

This is EXACTLY what he wants you to believe because if you believe he has that authority then he has deflected where the real blame should be laid - the Congress - and he has increased his power over YOU.

So what are you saying? Liberals are behind the entire NWO thing going on here Really? That along with the Iraq war and this economy? Are fringers really that deluded to lie to themselves in that manner?

He has stated many times that he will take responsibility for all of this

Atleast he has the balls to take responsibility for this mess we're in despite him coming into it. When will fringers take responsibility for their contribution to this mess as americans? Why not for once post a thread about Bush alone and how he significantly contributed to this mess? Why not have the balls to take responsibility instead of getting the rightwing blogs to make excuses for you.

Get over yourself.

Putting aside the title of the OP. Part of the message rings true. The congress is responsible for creating this new and massive debt, incurred in the last 90 days or so.

Or as an Obama supporter do you really believe that he and his congress are leading this country in the right direction? Take for instance the new excise tax on tobacco and alcohol, this is a tax on mostly the poor.
The stated use for this new revenue is to fund childrens medical care. How much of this revenue will make it to the objective?

IT's not a right or left thing,it's a common sense thing. Take stock of what is really happening, judge for yourself. Massive debt and governmental control of major private sector business/industry,does not bode well for "freedom".

Lets not forget the billions and billions that we have been spent in Iraq we did all we could so they could have universal healthcare coverage and a nickle a gallon gasoline.

I hate the new taxes, but any new direction compared to where we were heading is better IMHO and 60 million other Americans agree with me.

It's very much a right of left thing, what we need is balance and moderation, time will tell what we will end up with.

you think your opinions are fresh, yet only outdated if you discern the actual content, accusing conservatism of being outdated when your liberal ideals are far more out of touch with a society that has moved back and forth with the trends, and found that anomolies are just that. I WONT GET INTO THE DETAILS BUT YOU ARE WAY OFF BASE, AND YOU KNOW IT.

Congress is in on it too, all former presidents and congresses are in on it. Maybe a few of them speak out every now and then but these people have been in control of the US since the beginning. What you all forget is that congress, presidents and all the corrupt politicians only have the power YOU give them, by obeying and following their system. If you think you can "vote" them out of power you need a reality check, the american democracy is a joke.

correct, the only way we stop these power hungry individuals who conquer and divide us is to overthrow them in a way that has the police beating down our doors, because they know they are wrong and our ideas go against their greed/hubris to erradicate such destructive goals of these tyrants...............

Since PD 51, the presidents powers are not fully spelled out in the constitution.
He pretty much has what powers he needs, when he needs them.
