This just floors me…

A slight head nod to the Queen…
Forgets to Salute his guard and has to be reminded…

But a full half waste bow, head DOWN, (not looking him in the eye at all) is a sign of submission.

Equals may bow to each other…. but both bow to the same level… and ALWAYS look each other in the eye…

You can even bow a bit lower… but the non eye contact is the dead giveaway… as when you lower your eyes you are no longer even watching the person, and are submitting your saftey to them… to do as they please.

Why shouldn't he? King Abdullah is one of his masters, after all. The House of Saud controls Citibank, and therefore, the Federal Reserve. And oil that nourishes America.

Y'all are owned.

So as you can see the Jews and the Arabs both control America. They cooperate with each other. Who says there's no peace in the Middle East?

This video is going to piss off a lot of folks, especially the people in uniform who have to defend this guy. This is not the actions of a true leader of the United States. I'm afraid BHO doesn't realize that he is the President of the most powerful country ...WTF!
I'ts like a grown adult bowing to a five year old for respect.

So is Obama and elitist or not an elitist?

Is he arrogant or not arrogant?

Make up your minds.

He has vowed to smooth things in the middle east and is showing a little long overdue humility.

I would bow to no-one, and find the idea that President Obama would bow to anyone appalling. He is the head of state, he represents particularly the whole nation and to do this was to have America bow.

S&F because this demands attention from everyone, Dem or Rep.

Your president bowing to a foreign *cough* power is pretty humiliating. Ouch. Is that the sign to need to do something about it?

Elitist, terrorist, zionist, muslim, socialist, fascist....

I guess the only good president is one who's family has been in bed with the house of Saud for a couple generations

I sure long for that $5.50 gas again

I guess Obama forgot to spit in the kings eye and be the ELITIST he is

chicken relations yalls...

I think Obama should have rushed in there with a skinned deer carcass, a backward cap and a fist full of Mickey's. Stared that desert rat in the eye and shived him with a sanded down toothbrush handle! Then they could take out a tape measure and see whos packing a bigger pecker

I know a couple fifth degree black belts who bow everyday and could kick four of your asses period...

VIVA VIAGRA!

Actually, there could be a good conspiracy in this.
Obama doesn't habitually bow. While immediately it seems subserviant. Supposedly in Muslim cultures, equals are supposed to bow. If tht is the case, then the King was in the wrong. That you have to kneel on one knee to show a sign of subservience.

But this may not be an accident. it maybe a message sent. It could even be mockery, there is a better word for sending a cryptic message but I can't think of it.

The possibilities are endless.

And you really don't know he didn't look him in the eye. Someone was blocking the view. I wish I could see it though. Maybe he held his eyes the whole time, sending quite a message.

but more then likely he was just being polite in an awkward way.

I thought he looked kinda funny, like a giraffe trying to drink from a pond.

Even if it was a gaffe, I am secure enough in my countries power to not let it bother me. I think that by Americans getting appalled and bent out of shape is also showing insecurity.

Sorry to burst your bubble but Arabs control more than you would expect.
Even before BHO came to power.

The President of the United States should bow to no foreign representative, dignitary or head of state. Period! He is not below anyone. I could understand customary greetings, like the bowing in Asian countries. There, it is customary for one person to bow to another, not out of status, but as a greeting.

This is just another way he is making America seem weak and submissive in the world. He is out their apologizing for American arrogance, wanting to draw back our defensive and offensive capabilities, and now he is humbling himself to royalty??! TRAITOR! How can anyone respect or have confidence in this man!!

edit: I have read that according to protocol and customs of Saudi Arabia, when heads of state or members of the same sex meet a handshake is an acceptable greeting.

I'm not hearing people talk about this--at all. I don't watch a lot of MSM but I assume they didn't cover it, so that would explain the lack of comment on the streets. I watched the film clip several times through. Nobody else was bowing to anybody and though it ended soon after the obama bow, it doesn't look like he bowed to anybody else. Whatever else might have been going on, the gesture stuck out. It looked inappropriate. I'm sure it was noted by every person in that room. The message has been sent that the allegiance of the US has changed to support the part of the middle east other than Israel.

We the people don't have much to say about foreign policy. We elect somebody then they do whatever they want and we are stuck with the consequences. That is more true now than ever. If banks who took TARP money aren't allowed to repay it because the government would rather have control than the money, do you think they are going to be interested in whether we agree with this shift if foreign allegiance? I don't think so.

I think it's rude that our leaders have not been bowing and showing the proper respect to some of these Kings. It's customary practice where they live. If it was customary here, I think many leaders would bow to our presidents.

The fact that he would show respect to another culture is appalling to you? Why?

Common sense would dictate that one should be appaled if they DON'T show respect to another culture.

It is a matter of respect. NOTHING ELSE. He is not 'submitting'.

Much the same as a person who came over here would shake your hand, when we go over there, we bow. It is a cutural custom.

Should he not bow to the Japanese prime minister? It is custom there too you know.

Perhaps next time you would like him to just spit on the guy and then slap him? There is a good diplomatic approach....

There is a saying,"when in rome, do as the romans do." That is exactly what Obama did. He was in someone elses land, and the appropriate thing to do was to take on THERE cultures.

A big part of the reason Our country is hated, is that we seem to think it is neccasary to force our culture and ways down everyone elses throat. Well, it isnt.

The man is trying to earn back the respect that we have lost. Refusing to go by the local customs and trying to force our own down their throats would not allow for that to happen.

Bowing is a sign of respect. So is going by the customs of the land you are in. People should be upset if he DIDNT bow to show respect!

So, with all that said, when is someone going to come up with a REAL issue against Obama. I have yet to see that. People challenge his citizenship even though the state of hawaii has put it to rest. People take issue with his bowing.... People take issue with the gifts he has given...

I have yet to see a real issue presented. Is nobody able to find issues with his actual policy? is nobody able to find issues with anything besides simple materialistic issues?

I will take these complaints about obama serious when they dont have to do with his bowing, or the gifts he chooses. or the fact that you (not you personally) arent able to accept the State of Hawaii's word that he was born there.....

Ugh. This is just so silly. I give up. Atleast some one manages to come up with a legit complaint about the man.

Man, Americans make me laugh! The man was being respectful, but to you rednecks he was HANDING OVER THE COUNTRY, SHOWING WERE WEAK....yada yada yada. Man no wonder Americans are only thinking about the Obama's new dog. For Pete's sake it is a DOG, and the man bowed to a KING, get over it people I think there is more pressing issues.

A sign of submission in the Muslim world is getting down on one knee. Apparently equals are supposed to bow.

As for the head nod to the queen, that was actually correct. Only subordinates that are citizens should bow. Equals and non citizens should do the nod. So Obama was correct.

And Michelle wasn't totally off putting her hand on the Queen either, since the Queen touched her first.

Oddly the only people who care about the dog is the media. it is a media frenzy NO ONE cares about.

We don't always have control over what they show. It is just kind of a ritual to see what the First Dog is.
