EDIT: The shooter has a "high powered rifle". What does that mean?

It means that the propoganda machine is in gear and rolling along. ANY rifle bigger than a .22 qualifies as a "high powered" rifle.

This, together with the recent spate of shootings, immediately AFTER Eric Holder announced the push for a new "assault weapons" (oxymoron) ban, smack of a black bag operation, of the false flag variety to me. Last report has the shooter dead. He's not gonna TALK about it, now is he? Folks can make up any story they want now, and no one can dispute it.

Could be just an inordinate number of people snapping... or it could be something else entirely.

nenothtu out.

You may be right, but i just can't see losing a job to cause anybody to do this. To kill everybody you can? Not focus on those who actually did you wrong? I can't accept that as being a normal human reaction, under any stress...

There is no such thing as normal human reaction any longer in the current environment. Combine Stress, alcohol, drugs, shaky grasp on reality due to TV, Movies, violent web games, violent talk show host talking revolution, religious extremists and access to heavy fire power, LOOK OUT!

This type of incident in America will be very common in the coming months. Copy Cat Killers looking for their 15 minutes of fame, psychotic, paranoids and your other assorted nuts with a fantasy axe to grind.

As a trend Futurist, we will be discussing this type of event on ATS as much as UFO's, Bigfoot, shadow people or Black eyed kids.... starting now.

For some background read Malthusian theory. Crowded Rats in a cage with limited resources.....what happenes? Is human psychology much different? Conspiricy...perhaps. But more likely it's just the dark side of human nature.

"My major question is: Why can't we crack down on psychopaths rather than cracking down on Constitutional rights?"

Why do you assume that psychopaths are responsible for ALL of these incidents? Aren't you the least bit suspicious that in every such incident, the mainstream media labels the guy a nutcase? Aren't you also the least bit suspicious that in all these cases, the guy responsible for the shootings ends up killing himself? Seriously, what are the odds of the same exact script being played out in these random shootings?

The Virginia Tech shootings occurred almost two years to the date (less 13 days) and the shooter was also an Asian "nutcase". Another coincidence I suppose.

I don't know if he was a psychopath, but here's some breaking profile on the guy.

He was recently laid off from IBM (assume good job) into a diving economy (where to work now?) and knowing IBM has just stated that they were going to do more outsourcing of jobs to India - the guy probably cracked and headed down to the local immigration office to have his breakdown.

IBM Job Cuts and Outsourcing

More will come out in the news, but there are some folks who are doing poorly in this economy and cannot handle the pressure. The guy should have gone to company-sponsored counseling. Depression and psychosis are real - they're chemical adjustments your brain and body make. So, the guy simply cracked and it's a real shame here.

Pray for the families of these legal immigrants who were looking for a better life that our great country was going to offer them.

All of these shooting are for one purpose!

To kill the Second Amendment and strip us of our right to protect ourselves and own guns.

I don't know how they are getting all these shootings to happen other than prescribing certain psychotropic drugs (Riddlin, Adderall) to those who they see fit and then a Psychologist hypnosis session that has been taken over by preplanned Psi-Ops thus implanting a key word in these shooters.

The school shootings are easy for them since all the student shooters were on these psychotropic drugs (Riddlin, Adderall) and had normal Psychologist visits.

But off the wall shootings like this one in New York, we need more information about the shooter. This may have been a random act of violence, but I doubt it.

Either way, this shooting and hostage situation in New York today is just another step in taking away our Constitutional rights written in the second Amendment.

Foreign financial and corporate take over of the United States, they are openly announcing a New World Order now (no longer conspiracy), and more attempts to kill the 1st and 2nd amendments.

It won't be long now!

I think you are on to something here.

Perhaps MKULTRA has been perfected. Strange coincidences with Virginia Tech indeed. And, with things like the guy who decapitated the guy on the bus full of people awhile back, I just have to wonder if people are acting of their own volition.

An Asian guy who hates immigrants. What's up with that?

And his decision doesn't even make sense, he targeted the wrong place. The immigrants coming into this country are looking to become American and contribute to American society/economy. He should have flown to India if he wanted to get people who were "stealing" American jobs. Or alternatively, he could go to the head offices of IBM and knock off the guys firing Americans to hire Foreigners.

What are you talking about? The loser cracked because he was weak. Nothing more. Now the 13 people who were looking for work to support there families will never see them again and their children are wondering when mommy and daddy will be coming home after saying they would be back in a little bit. I hope this prick is burning in hell right now.

Perhaps he was thinking about the millions of Illegal Immigrants who have jobs right now in the US and since he was clearly not rational made the mental leap. If INS were doing its job, there would be millions less unemployed right now today.

In the words of Terence McKenna: "it's going to get nuttier and nuttier" as we approach 2012. That is when his timewave zero flat lines. Watch for major news events on a weekly, then daily, then hourly basis as we approach the 2012 zero point. The history of man kinds novelty and habit is being compressed into the next 3 1/2 years.

When one has no moral compass, and no moral anchor for their soul, during times of trouble and despair, they will do unthinkable evil and cause terrible destruction without showing remorse. For their own peril, they won't give a second thought.

If stories are like fruit for journalists, the ATS Press Corps couldn't have come a better time. The fruit is getting more plentiful by the hour.

If someone else had a CCW in that place and actually knew how to use it maybe the outcome would have been lessened.

My sympathies to the families of the victims.

Hmm. How many "mass shootings" have there been in the USA since Obama took office? There was the guy in Alabama who took out several people, there was the North Carolina nursing home shooting a few days ago, and now this disgruntled immigrant in New York scoring 14 deaths.

Have I missed any? There was another shooting over in Germany, wasn't there, but I'm not counting the European nutcases.

Gee, there have been more mass shootings in Obama's first 100 days in office than in the last 4 years of the Bush administration.

And I commented a couple of months ago in another thread to the effect that we are going to see more mass shootings now that Obama is in office, simply because this is part of the anti-gun conspiracy.

Yes, I seriously think that our government is into the sort of mind-control that cues these attacks when they are needed to advance the anti-gun agenda. And just to drive home the point, I will confidently predict there will be at least one more mass shooting and possibly two more mass shootings in the USA before the end of April, at which point Obama is going to make a national address calling for sweeping new unconstitutional gun control legislation, while he still has his socialist stooges in charge of Congress.

Just watch and see what happens. This administration has already ripped off the American people for nearly 4 trillion dollars in less than 3 months. I think they're just shameless enough to stage a couple more shootings before making a grab for our guns.

Not only is this not a reason to have more gun control, this is actually a perfect example of why we should all have the right to carry a sidearm, and purposely not a concealed sidearm.
Needs to be like the old west was. You pull your gun then you had better be serious because others will pull theirs out shoot your stupid a$$ dead.

My hearts go out to the families of the dead. That is so very sad.

On another note.. I saw a post in this thread were it was mentioned that the local PD requested the national guard.
That is just ridiculous. Do they not have SWAT? Do they not have sufficient training? What gives with that?
If they didn't have SWAT, can't the nearest county/city that has SWAT lend a hand? WTF would you call the national guard for this?

"I think they're just shameless enough to stage a couple more shootings before making a grab for our guns. "

I f####ing dare them to take mine. Actually, I welcome their attempt.
But I really think they will just chop away a little bit at a time until eventually down the road many, many years later we realize that we only have "legal" access to single round shotguns and .22 revolvers.

Hopefully they will do something stupid before that point that will get us off our fat, lazy, selfish butts and we will respond accordingly as is our right.
Sorry to rant, this whole thing and the stupid crap that goes on daily just makes me want to vomit.
I actually hope for a complete breakdown, collapse or whatever will enable us to rid this country of the cheesedicks that are pulling the strings and start over with a clean plate.

I think that a few of you seriously need to step back and take a look at how you're acting. I'm always amazed at how quickly some of the people here can take a subject that has no relation to any conspiracy theory, and somehow bend the laws of logic to their own will. Hell, some people think that the government did the shooting, rather than just another one of the people who snapped. It's obvious that somebody could nap, with all of the negative games, news, economy, movies, shows, etc. that almost encourage or glorify this sort of thing. but, some still manage to overthrow logic and manage to form a conspiracy. I would love for some of the people commenting in this thread to go and tell your "theories" to either the people who were in the shooting and escaped unscathed, or of the families of the dead. I have a feeling many wouldn't make it out of the room.

This reminds me of that flight that went down in buffalo. Because there was a 9/11 activist on the plane, people started coming up with EMP rays, bombs, AA fire, fighter jets, etc. etc. Of course, the person wasn't a conspirator, she was for the bettering of aircraft security. But still, 3 hours after it crashed they popped up. When the experts came in saying ice was logical, they still denied it.

I sometimes wonder whether the deniers are the sheeple, or the theorists themselves.

I think this is just the final crazy gunman lashing out at people because he's upset at his loss over the economy.
