Bill passes Senate giving President Obama Sweeping Internet Powers

The story from this link, if I read it right, gives Obama power to shut any and all networks under the umbrella space of "cybersecurity".

Broad powers. I can hear it now, "I'll tell you later why I did it for your own good."

I for one don't want him in control of my internet for any reason. If he takes control it will never be the same even if he turns it back on.Netw orkWorld

I knew it wouldn't be long until this happened. They've been seeking to control cyberspace since its advent. TPTB want complete control of all forms of communications and now it appears they have it. Under the pretext of maintaining safety they'll slowly strip us all the liberties a free internet provides. Never waste a crisis. But hey, it's for our own good right?
