Greetings..... An absolute correct assessment.....The voice of the populus has been echoed by the media in the form of political correctness or cowardess...This is still a functioning government, although, its primary function is to protect itself and not us,which has been demonstrated numerous times over the past administrations...the electoral process is the only means by which we can change the government...The media is another story....This media is vunerable....It can be desimated by the power of the purse.....Media companies that are part of or are themselves publically held are dominated by the share holders or can be very easily be dictated to by large voting blocks of shareholders....A large enough voting block of share holders of GE could determine the direction of a massive media conglamorate.....This could change the media and the polical climate at the same time...

If there were some way to gain a control share of General Electric, then perhaps the general direction of media could be altered somewhat. However, GE is the 14th largest defense contractor in the United States, and derives much of its revenue from the government. ( $1,822,720,199 in defense contracts in 2004 alone) I don't see NBC joining the truth movement anytime soon.

If you had enough money to gain control of GE, then you'd have enough money to fund your own media outlet.

You do not have to gain control to be heard at a share holder s meetings....one share entitles to attend.....If 50 million americans that are of like mind bought on share....I believe as a block we would be heard...GE has a questionable balance sheet and the US government is broke....so do not expect any heafty dividens any time soon....
