I did it... I finally did it. After weeks of procrastination, I finally mustered the courage to watch the torturous charade Glen Beck has been recently compiling. I admit, I was truly flabbergasted - although, perhaps the emotions I experienced were due in part by the thoughts and suggestions emanating from Mr. Beck's physical appearance: "flab" and "gas."

But in all seriousness, the thought alone that people actually BELIEVE a word he says, has been greatly devastating, and has culminated in my complete disillusionment with humanity. The lack of discernment coming from people who so eagerly want to believe in the fantasies their irrational fears have generated, may prove to be a self-fulfilling prophecy (see Timothy McVeigh.)

Mr. Beck's act is all part of an ideological battle, and his intentions are to push the Republican agenda through one of their favorite tactics: fear-mongering. To create fear, hatred, and mistrust of the (current) government is one of the conservatives' primary goals (among a variety of others, which include but are not limited to: ensuring the complete destruction of America.)

But I don't want to give Beck too much credit. Hell, I can't even say that I blame him. The only motivation Glen Beck and his buddies need are the increase in ratings they've experienced. Glen Beck is another example on how conservative pundits have achieved great wealth and success through the exploitation of the public's stupidity (ahem, O'Reilly... Coulter)

The sooner you realize not all of the people who listen to Beck and Limbaugh and Hannity are mindless zombies and probably share a lot of things in common with you the sooner this country can get back on track.

But I'm sure you're against stereotyping of people you agree with, just not the other way around.

I find it really interesting how Fox News has suddenly jumped on the anti-government conspiracy bandwagon and so many people here just seem to be eating it up.
There is a widespread consensus on this board (with exceptions) that 9/11 was an inside job, at least in part orchestrated by the Bush administration.
There is also very little question that Fox News has been a willing mouthpiece for the Bush administration, and deeply involved in the NeoCon agenda.

Yet people seem perfectly willing to accept that somehow they are on our side now, fighting with the people against the NWO.

It stinks to high heaven if you ask me...

thinkprogress.org...

according to mr beck he believes everything he says on air ... but at the same time he says anyone who takes anything he says as gospel is an idiot and that he is a rodeo clown/entertainer.

so come on people. when has fox news ever been the source for truthfullness, fairness or integrity. i see no reason to jump on their bandwagon now, especially for a man who at one time said the 911 truth movement was something timothy mcveigh would come from.

if glenn beck really wants to prove himself .... he cant

Nobody's calling anyone mindless zombies. I think you are dead on when you state this as one of the reasons America is off track. Whether it be people who voted for Obama or people who watch Fox, being referred to as mindless zombies. I doesn't matter. It's classic divide & conquer tactics.

But people seem to have forgotten what Fox news is, now that they are seemingly playing the conspiracy angle.

So when Glen's show was on CNN then everything was ok? Where was all the criticism then? But now that his show is on Fox it's all conspiracy and partisanship and Faux news blah blah blah.

I am not a big Glen fan but you guys are sounding ridiculous. Wait til some Glen fanatics show up.

Do you have a source that is? IMO, all of them are alike in one way or the other, out for the ratings and the advertisement dollars that come with it.

As far as Beck, he is just like everyone else. Some things are true, some are false, and a lot is exaggerated.

His comedian faces and gestures are no doubt entertaining.

It would be great if the OP could actually list some things Beck is saying that are not true. I can't tell if your trying to bait people with the title of your thread but if you would please include some substance to your post that backs up your opinion I think this conversation would move a long a little better. From your post we already know you think Fox News operates for conspiratorial purposes, Glenn Becks topics are just for ratings which I am pretty sure is how the television industry works, and you think anyone who gives Fox or Beck merit is enabling them to accomplish the ultimate goal of the complete destruction of America, lol.
Your opinion should be easy to prove with some facts, I just don't see any facts. Maybe you can enlighten us on what Beck says that we should not believe.

Not I.

There is a topic started on this forum claiming that.

Like Jnewell33 said, you need to show us some proof of your allegations. Right now this is just a smear post with no substance.

ahhh yes ... my favorite miss-director agent .. Mr. Beck ...

I've been trying to figure out exactly what these guys are up to ... now that Beck, Hannity, Limbaugh etc are playing up the FEMA camps (Beck) ((although now he is "debunking" them)) .....and now all saying .."it looks like the NWO is real " ...etc ...

the way I see it, the tactic is partly ..."well yeah you voted for CHANGE and NOW look what it got you!... this liberal, socialist administration and their New World Order was YOUR decision, not ours ... but we're on YOUR side and we'll try and help ...just listen to us".... (I doubt you'll hear them report that George H. W. Bush first mentioned the NWO in a speech on 9/11 1991....)

and partly fear-mongering, ratings grabbing, sensationalism that is designed to induce panic and riots that will lead to even MORE invasion of privacy and liberty reduction; resulting in martial law.... which is probably a goal of the NWO that they can't get to fast enough now that their pockets are chock full ..... (alot of people will get as much FEMA camp evidence as anybody would want at that point)

Beck is sooooo sincere ..and cares so much about this country he doesn't know if he wants to cry or puke ... boo hoo .... I know which one *I* want to do when I hear him ....

here's a nugget from Beck on CNN .... notice he uses an O'reilly-like term .... paving his way to FOX News heaven....

www.youtube.com...

P.S. check out the VERY INTERESTING message on the "marquee" at the end of that clip ... wow!

I have never understood how those that claim to 'never watch TV" or "I don't watch or listen or read any of the MSM. Just how then do you get ideas for what you wish to research and learn about? I mean realy, is it all comming out of brain waves from the NWO or do you mearly come here? Beck, and company are giving opinions of what they see in the world. They tell you up front they are entertainers, nothing else! You can choose or not choose to believe. You realy have to take an interest and then research for yourself whats true and not true. You also need a place to start or get and idea of what others think before you check it out. Anyone who believes anything ( specialy what I write ) needs to look for themselves without a pre-existing idea of what is true. Otherwise your playing their game and not your own!

David .... did you watch that Youtube clip that was with that? What is your take on that? Notice any similar tactics to O'Reilly or Hannity? The way information is completely ignored ..or the ever present interruption as if the"guest" is not speaking? and the veiled and then outright personal insults? can anyone watch it and say that there is not an agenda here? how about the subliminal at the end ....

I know you support Glenn Beck .... it just shows how their "trojan horse" tactic is working .... don't fall for it... the guy is as fake as a one dollar bill LOL

I'm sorry that I don't know this but .... do you support Beck's stance on 911? curious.....
