Just came accross this in my mailbox today, looks interesting. All the content is copyrighted therefore, I can't post quotes.

The article shows us a photo of a cathedral with a classic UFO shape in the background

Take a look for yourselves.

Sorry, I misunderstand what you're getting at here...

Are you saying that you agree with me that it's an April Fool joke?

Are you saying that you think it's real?

Are you asking me not to post on this thread any more?

Cheers,

MGGG

Hmmm,

I suppose that it would be an ideal day to bury something like this!!!!

A genuine pic perhaps then?

Peace,

I think it's probably fake, because the UFO is sitting exactly parallel to the edges of the photograph even though the camera was tilted to get the cathedral in the shot.

This means either the UFO was either directly side on to the photographer, or it's fake.

In all honesty im saying it's a April fool's joke.

Look's crude as hell no wonder it's copyrighted. In my opinion it's copyrighted so the photo cant be ripped to shread's too fast.

Take care.

Lee

First impressions are that its fake. To me it looks out of place. The composition is strange - why does the cathedral dominate the picture? Surely if there was a UFO you'd be centering in on that? Unless the picture is cropped of course for sake of the story.

Or maybe the lady thought "Hey if I can get the cathedral in side-by-side with the weird shiny disk thing, that would make a lovely shot."

Secondly, why are there no more pictures? Video perhaps?

Can we get hold of a higher resolution picture? I might email the website if I get time today.

Clearly an April Fool's Day joke:

The woman, who was walking her dog on Tuesday evening, sent us this footage last night and we immediately put it up on our website this morning (April 1).

and

However, it was soon clear that whatever the object was, it was not hostile, and it had obviously homed in on the cathedral as a major landmark for the area and I think that's rather nice.

This is exactly what leads me to believe it's a fake.

Hmmm..i dunno, im not gonna say that its april fools after reading Machinegun go (plow) go comments. But i dont agree with the angle of the craft, looking at the angle of the photograph, it just doesnt fit properly, and something about the color is off. Anyways, thats my input!

Peace!

I do not know if this was intended as an April Fool's joke, but I think the picture is a fake. The angle of the object compared to the angle of a cathedral is suspicious.

Everyone is allowed to post here, whether or not they agree with the OP.

Not April Fools' jokes, but not real either.

Just for reference - that post where I said that today would be a good day to bury things was actually a joke.

As far as I'm concerned this is a hoax by a newspaper or news website as an April Fool's joke.

Simple as that in my view.

Peace and smiles.

I would think so. A piece of dust and glare from the street lamp. Of course, I am not camera expert, so I would differ to those more knowledgable than me on the subject.

However, whether those particular photos are fake or not is pointless to our discussion. Just because these may be real or fake does not somehow make the photo in the OP real or fake.
