Columbus, Ohio: Did anyone else see the UFO last night?

Did anyone else from Columbus, Ohio see this? I registered just to make this post, about something strange I saw last night.

I've never seen anything in the sky that made me question what I just saw (I'm former USAF), but last night it finally happened. I was getting ready to get in bed, when I see this bright white light streak past my window, followed by a red light. I ran outside to see something booking to the west, followed by a small solid red light.

I'm not saying what I saw was an alien spacecraft, just that it didn't fit what I normally see in the sky. I live about 5 miles from a USAF base and directly under the flight path of jets returning. This thing came in from a completely different direction and was not going towards the base.

I'm not one to get excited about random lights in the sky, but this was unusual. It could very well have been a helicopter, but what was the bright red light following behind? I tried to get video, but this thing was gone as quick as it showed up.
