EXCLUSIVE: Hezbollah uses Mexican drug routes into U.S.

www.washingtontimes.com

Hezbollah is using the same southern narcotics routes that Mexican drug kingpins do to smuggle drugs and people into the United States, reaping money to finance its operations and threatening U.S. national security, current and former U.S. law enforcement, defense and counterterrorism officials say.

What is really going on at the border. Why isn't the MSM covering any of this?

The Iran-backed Lebanese group has long been involved in narcotics and human trafficking in South America's tri-border region of Paraguay, Argentina and Brazil. Increasingly, however, it is relying on Mexican narcotics syndicates that control access to transit routes into the U.S.

"They work together," said Mr. Braun. "They rely on the same shadow facilitators. One way or another, they are all connected. "They'll leverage those relationships to their benefit, to smuggle contraband and humans into the U.S.; in fact, they already are [smuggling]." His comments were confirmed by six U.S. officials, including law enforcement, defense and counterterrorism specialists. They spoke on the condition that they not be named because of the sensitivity of the topic.

A few weeks ago on the Glen Beck Show, the former head of the Bin Laden Task Force expressed this concern. In his view, Houston Texas is a potential target for a major terrorist attack. Houston is where NASA is and where W lives nowadays.

The U.S. Defense Department thinks Mexico's two most deadly drug cartels together have fielded more than 100,000 foot soldiers - an army that rivals Mexico's armed forces and threatens to turn the country into a narco-state. "It's moving to crisis proportions," a senior U.S. defense official told The Washington Times. The official, who spoke on the condition that he not be named because of the sensitive nature of his work, said the cartels' "foot soldiers" are on a par with Mexico's army of about 130,000.

Bin Laden Task Force... this is such a joke. Glen Beck... another joke.

And if there's a strike on Houston, I hope they get W, he deserves it. But I'm sure it won't happen since ALL big terrorism acts are inside jobs.

And Hezbollah running the drug trades... yeah right... if so, I'm sure they are not 1% of what the CIA trades or MS-13 trades.

Mmmmm... more unnamed sources, innuendo and speculation and nothing in the way of actual evidence. Can't tell us officially or provide proof because of national security.

Seriously, do they expect us all to just hang on their every word, slack jawed and dribbling, waiting for the next booga booga story? Or are they perhaps just trying to manufacture more scare stories to maintain their high salaries as experts and increase government budgets?

Give it a break, when is this forum going to grow up and realize that there are no terrorists threatening the US land. Only in foreign lands where Americans are illegally occupying land and using economic influence to rule over, those places may contain terrorists.

All this hype about threats, and shouting TERRORIST or TERRORISM at every single god damn thing makes me physically sick to read, and thats when it's coming from the MSM.

When it is coming from the members of THIS forum, who should know better than to perpetuate this propaganda, I feel like I may as well delete my account cause the worlds #ed.

Quit letting their use of fear run your life.

It's finally happening, people. They are setting up for the next 9/11!

Listen, the drug cartels specialize in smuggling. They ship multiple tons of drugs across the border every day -- they know ever security flaw, hole, and porous meter of our borders, and they have billions of dollars in liquid cash at their disposal. If they want to put a 1000 pound bomb in the middle of time square, that is within their capacity. It is just a matter of time before they are pushed into a corner, and decide it's time to push back, in a major way. America will definitely feel it, too, and the sad part is, if this nightmare scenario happens, the war on drugs will be escalated, which is going to make the problem even worse.

The end result, is a never ending threat from an insatiable black market industry, kept alive by the very laws which attempt to impede it.

Am I overreacting? Or does anyone else see this as potentially the biggest threat facing America?

I was not trying to imply that there were terrorists in every corner and we should all be scared but there are things being done about this situation as we speak. I actually doubt hezbollah is coming across the border but with all of the rhetoric coming out over the border situation, I feel it is something we should all keep our eyes on.
