I have a pretty simple question here that no doubt will tickle some peoples temper but it is just a question.
No doubt many of you will know christians or people who claim that they are true to their faith etc. I ask this question as my partner is a christian but does not attend church, preach her views on anyone or tell me what to believe as I hear so many people on this site telling others christians do.
The first time she saw Obama before he even spoke she said he was going to be the president as he is the anti christ. Naturally I just about spat my soft drink over the wall in shock at a statement like that, asked how she could just say that and I got the reply that it is just truth that needs nothing to back it up when you see him for what he is if you truly believe in god.
I did some reading into the bible which is a common topic I speak about these days because of this. It is said that a true christian needs nothing other than a look at the anti christ to see right through it.
My question is, have any of you had a simlar experience be it family, friends, coworkers or even yourself feeling or mentioning this??
I am not a christian but the evidence that I can see in this guys actions and the coincidences surrounding him are making me question a lot more faith related topics.
Cheers in advance in the hope that people might approach this with a little maturity.

So far he is screwing everything up and appears to be just as stupid as George W. Bush. But I could be wrong..One of the governments' best kept secrets is just how effective and efficient they can be while appearing to be incompetent.

Sure,
There are a few acquaintances of mine that do look at him as he is the "Antichrist" and all the other things rolled in-between and judging from the reactions and post here I stand in the minority here as well.
So yes,
I support him as a human being. And I voted.
There might be some things done/to be done that I might not agree with but I seriously fail to see how some people can rationalize that this man is the bringer of the end times as some do. Although some healthy debate is needed sometimes.
Consider this:
If Obama is truly the antichrist and the end is nigh... then according to the bible the "rapture" is coming soon and you will all be whisked away to wait it out right?
If fire and brimstone begins to fall, and the mountains shake and rumble under my feet when I run to the hills, then I will be worried. Just don't try and U2U me mmkay.
If the time comes, and I notice an extreme drop in the zeal and fanatics here.. then I will know something is really wrong with the world and the "rapture" has begun.
That, or we have actually made headway as a people.
Take that as you will.
As my family motto says:
"In time"

My Dad(RIP) when I was younger was a very devout Catholic, as I, different from the rest of my family, am also becoming. He spoke a lot of Armageddon and the Rapture and it scared me a lot as a young kid but I never really looked deeper. I do wish he was still alive, I think I would have some very serious conversations about this... I actually feel bad for myself, as well as my family, for slipping away from our religion that we were brought up on... but that's beside the fact.
I saw awhile ago about Obama and the Anti-Christ and I really thought about it. There are 2 books in the Holy Bible that speak of the Anti-Christ and it seems to fit Obama very well. I read the book of Revelations the other evening and here is my opinion of the Anti-Christ:
NWO... Revelations speaks of a Beast with 7 legs and 10 horns... I believe the 7 legs are the banks, or at least the owners of those banks, supporting the 'Beast'. I believe the 10 horns could be 10, or possibly 5(2 horns a head), people, or maybe countries. The main leaders of those countries that are trying to support the NWO. I know the USA and UK would be 2, but I don't know about the others, depends on how the horns are given...
Someone may have already mentioned this, but I didn't want to read 96 posts before posting this. This is my summation from Revelations. It's my theory, I'd like to hear your opinions of it, maybe help me figure out a bit more...

No, but there is something about the man I don't like and never did. When he first came on the scene at the start of the primaries, just seeing his picture made me feel sick to my stomach and I still get such a negative feeling about him, even more so now that he is in office and see the people he's putting in positions around him. One big ICK. Anti-Christ? Maybe, never really thought about it, but I do think alot of what the bible predicts is coming to pass. Either way, the man is a fraud and as about as dishonest as they come and I don't think anything he says or does is for our benefit. I know all politicians lie and tell the people what they want to hear and campaigns are full of empty probmises, but with this one, how could so many people believe his rhetoric, as we all know, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. I still can't watch tv when he is on as I get such a sick feeling.
BTW, good question! I am wondering how many people that were so pro-Obama are feeling differently now.

The ten horns could be the EU there are currently 28 nations but only 10 of the 28 are full members with voting rights.
The 5 relates to Masonry and secret society of MAN. The 5 points are shakras which DEMONS can use as control points or entrance points. WE ARE ALREADY DEAD. Thats right were already dead, because the dead world has no time relativity, only space. The ten are the 2 hemispheres of powers (secret) joined under anti-christ, or lucifarian masonry. Christ will kick there asses, be rejected, they will deceive the world, Christ will again kick there asses and become the capstone of the order, tranfiguring it not transforming it as the devil, or fallen man can only achive.

I believe the following are some reasons for the furor over Obama. These are my opinions, I do not insist anyone agree with them:
1 - We are living in a collapsing society. This collapse includes both economic and social factors. It has been going on for 30 years or more, but in the wake of the Bush administration, it is becoming obvious to more and more people. Bush did not start this collapse, but the gross corruption and incompetence of that administration accelerated it. And people are starting to get scared.
2 - All politicians are subject to higher scrutiny. I guess we can thank Bush for this, and it is a good thing to have happen. After the nature of the Bush administration - corrupt, incompetent, probable war crimes - all politicians are under tighter scrutiny than was the case.
3 - Obama is, as he puts it: "not of the same pedigree" as any other US president. I believe his color is a significant factor in the fear many hold of him. Most deny this.
4 - Obama is on the wrong "team". There is a small minority of vocal individuals that will criticize Obama no matter what, because he's not on "their team", i.e. Republican. The economy could be going great guns, Bin-Laden turned himself in and fetal stem cell research has produced a cure-all for all types of cancer, and this group will continue to criticize him.
5 - Obama is bucking the economic model of unrestrained capitalism, which many people immediately think means he is a socialist or communist. This in spite of no evidence to that, and the proven failure of unrestrained capitalism as an economic model.

Jeez, get a grip, folks.
Obama is not the Anti-Christ, he's just a guy. A guy that got handed probably the worst situation as a new president in the history of the US.
He is trying to retrieve the US from the pit that Bush left us in, and he's got many irons in the fire.
His solutions may or may not succeed. It is entirely possible that we as a nation are already too far gone to recover, without regard to what anybody does about anything.
We've got enough troubles to deal with without introducing a mythologically based set of more troubles.
