Howdy fellow ATSers.

According to the latest count in the "stats" page:

Total posts: 5,945,424

So it looks like we're going to be hitting 6,000,000 posts in a few days.

That is indeed an impressive number of times each of us has chosen to share our thoughts, ideas, opinions, theories, beliefs, sarcasms, criticisms, etc, with each other.

Some of us pick our spots to post and some like myself just blab on endlessly.

No matter what though, it is through this shared experience that we and the staff have made ATS what it is today.

So to the oldz and the n00bs, a toast on reaching yet another great milestone!

PS. I think last time when we were close to 5,000,000 posts we had a chance to play a little guessing game as to the day the milestone would be reached and a little gift for the 5,000,000th poster. Perhaps the staff will indulge us once more and let us play again.

wow, thats brilliant. long may it continue!! im sure if the world continues as it is going, then we shall have several more before our internet is cut off in the midst of the chaos!!!

I wonder if there is going to be a contest like the 5 million post mark. If you can guess who and in what thread the 6 millionth post is in you get a ton of points.

Hi folks, as of today we're up to:

Total posts: 5,947,737

I'm still awaiting confirmation from staff to see if we can make our little guessing game worth a couple of points but even if we can't I think it will still be fun to play along.

So if anyone wants to guess the date we will hit 6,000,000 go right ahead, I will keep track of everyone's guesses.

Would be fun to make it into a little contest wouldn't it.
And reference to the 6th Million Dollar Man is great!
