US 'will not stop' N Korea rocket

news.bbc.co.uk

US Defence Secretary Robert Gates says North Korea is likely to launch a rocket soon, and Washington would not attempt to stop it.

North Korea has said it will launch a satellite into orbit next month.

South Korea, Japan and the US say the launch is cover for a test of the Taepodong-2 ballistic missile.

There's a lot of mixed messages here.

Nobody wants to stop it.... Everybody thinks it is a 'cover' test, yet Japan is concerned over general safety of is citizens from falling debris, and rightly so....

Japan had said earlier it would deploy missile interceptors to destroy any parts of a North Korean rocket that might fall on its territory.

But, North Korea says

it would regard any rocket intercept as an act of war.

So is the world standing by to let Japan launch a few missiles to stop falling debris so that Korea declares war and then suddenly the rest of the world steps in and blames Korea for getting us into WW3?
