Question about OLD Stocks from 1956

Hey everyone, thought I'd pose everyone with a question about an old stock I came across. I believe its a private stock because it does not show on the stock exchange that i know of.

As you can see it's from 1956, I would really like to know the value if it's worth anything. another thing I'm curious about is on the right side it says 2^94 with a triangle after the 2, is that 2.94 or 294 shares?.

anyone got a clue on this stock?.

This company came into being in 1923, so it looks like they might be from here.

Yea I know, They leave me with a telephone number but i could not get thru.

I'm going to have to try again come monday.

I guess the question would be is, is/could it worth anything.

or simply how does these stocks work, as you can see I'm not stock savy.

is there a database one could type in the company name and stock number to find out what its worth?.
