Was just randomly surfing Mars on that new Mars live thingy from google..

And look what I found..

It's shape was odd enough but to be raised that far above the ground in the middle of a flat crater..and check the shape of the shadow !!!!

As has been said many times before, mounds in the middle of a crater - COMMON AND PART OF BASIC CRATER FORMATION.

We dont know the time of day there, so the sun may be low producing a long shadow. I'm really not seeing anything odd.

Here are more pics of Pickering crater. Looks pretty normal to me...as previously stated, it's normal for craters to have rocky buildups in the middle...they are formed that way.
