I posted in this thread before, but here's an update. I've been free from a decade-long relationship that was controlling and abusive, for about a year. I am free to care about how I look and leave home looking nice without being accused of cheating. I'm getting used to this freedom and I'm feeling much better about myself.

I'm happy to have that effect! I grew up running around in the woods, but then lived with someone for 10 years who never wanted to go exploring and didn't trust me to do anything myself. Getting back outside has done wonders for the "rehabilitation" of my spirit and recovery of a more balanced mental state. Also, I had to get my own kids out there and away from their screens, for their own good! Kids these days...
