Nearly 73,500 people died in road accidents in China last year, or just over 200 fatalities per day, according to police statistics.

if that isn'tt excessive people slaughter i don't know what is.
china must have the biggest of everything.

I suppose, other than the given fact that there may be safety hazards, overpopulation may be a big reason.

Corrected for population the numbers is the US are just about the same.

Its just that in china you have many more car v bikes and the person on the bike does not stand much of a chance,

China has 1.026,219,904 more people thats 4.377 times the US population and just this would account for the high numbers
