At some point politicians realized that all they needed to do to have their bill pass is to use as much high-level jargon as possible to confuse the American into submission.

99% of the US population doesn't understand all of these new deals/laws/plans whatever else they are being termed as. I'll bet 75% + of Americans on ATS don't fully understand them either. That is a large part of the problem.

And I think the average congressman is embarrassed to admit that he/she doesn't know wtf these bills are really trying to achieve either, so they just vote in favor of them.

The problem is everyone is just talking about all this stuff without acting. We can engage the enemy on our terms, or wait and have to face them on their terms.

They have taken our sovereignty - what is left to lose.

Are we all just going to wait until we lose our families and our own lives.

Complaining is like a rocking chair, it gives you something to do but gets you nowhere.

Remember: The Georgia Guidestones - 300,000,000

They are getting ready to depopulate the planet and get under that number.

Yea well after we have been sold down the river by generation after generations of people who re-fuse to see that the republican and democratic party are two heads on the same snake we are getting what we set forth. So I say thanks to those who can't think for them selves and keep voting for the same groups...

Give yourself a big ole slap on the back cause thats where we are today....Cheers!

Precisely. The business interests own both horses. It doesnt matter which one of the "two parties" wins. It is a rigged game. Both parties serve the same interests.

The only way for people to win is to vote outside the two party system.

Well that's one way to skin a cat. A cat that someone who bought the other two parties will pay top dollar for now that it's shaved and clean.

We could make a one party system work quite well in fact, probably easier than a 20 party system, based on one thing.

Honesty, and integrity and oversight. We have to figure out a way our true principals will be adhered to. That's really the problem, the citizens tend to shirk some of their duties and responsibilites, and the elites tend to overstep theirs.

The funny thing is a thousand years from now the people of the earth will probably be living in a one world government, reading our long ago stories of glory and the little children will ask their parents. Mommy, Daddy why did those people kill and destroy so many things and each other, and fight all the time and do horrible things. The mommy or Daddy will smile and say, they just didn't know any better dear.

People talk about the school of hard knocks, which is in reality the school of life, which is the school that is going to teach us to learn better. You can't really drop out of the school of life, but people are fond of expelling one another from it, and cheating on their tests!

Its all a process, and all we can hope is for our future that somehow the very best of what we know and have right can be that foundation that makes us look back upon Rome and say mommy, Daddy why did they fight each other like that and do such wicked things?

We will learn. I know we can.

The fact is that they are succeeding in making the majority left believe the lies, and then some. It will be too late,if more people don't take action now, against the tyrannous system we are living under. The truth will set all of us free. They want nothing more than the American people to sit back, drink their beer, stuff their faces with chemical laden junk food, live in their little fantasy's on the internet and watch all the brain washing bs that they can provide for us. Lets just sit here and take another good pounding to our backsides while they laugh at every big spoon full of poop they can shove down our throats.

On topic.

I think as a whole people are "waking" up and are getting fed up. Unfortunetly for Obama hit happened under his watch. Now everytime he gets on tv he has to remind us that he "inherited this crisis".

That is not true.

He ran a campaign for almost 2 years so he can TAKE OVER this mess. He knew what he was getting. The state of the economy wasn't a secret.

Good point, I seem to recall the housing market had a lot to do with the "inherited" problems and deficit Obama refers to constantly.

Wasn't it the Democrats that opened the flood gates to allow anyone, worthy or not, to get a loan via Fannie and Freddie?

That said we have further muddied the water by bailing out the banks.

Through the liberal agenda we have provided an expected standard of living to those living on government benefits and have given bail-out money to banks/business with no end in site.

That leaves the American Middle Class holding the bag.

This can't work.

Just check out a small sample of today's lead news stories -

Army vet billed $3,000 for war wounds

Erik Roberts, an Army sergeant who was wounded in Iraq, underwent his 13th surgery recently to save his right leg from amputation. Imagine his shock when he got a bill for $3,000 for his treatment.

Federal programs gave addicts street drugs

The federal government is giving crack and powder coc aine, morphine, and other hard-core drugs to taxpayer-funded researchers for testing on addicts, The Examiner has learned.

More Cities Target Teens With Daytime Curfews

DALLAS -- This city is considering joining a rising number of others across the country that are imposing criminal penalties on kids who skip school to hang out at the mall or on local street corners.

Source : Wall Stree Journal

There are many more ...

My read on this is that there is now a strong initiative to push the masses into open rebellion. Everything now is in place to deal with this likely eventuality. We've all been spoon fed violence our entire lives, and so it is completely normal for individuals and groups to respond impulsively and violently to provocations such as these examples cited above.

Such naive action would be a blunder of the highest magnitude.

We all need to keep looking for examples from recent history where non-violent methods were used to dismantle the apparatus of tyranny. Such examples are out there, just take a look for yourselves ...

Fascism is a form of Socialism. The policies are far-left, not right. Right wing policies would be 100% free market with as little government intervention as humanly possible. Seeing as the policies we see are polar opposites, it is safe to assume they are political opposites.

When you see "far left, leftist policies, etc" do not think "Democrat". Both Republicans and Democrats are Socialist in some form, in fact, without the Religious Social Conservative movement, almost all Republicans would be Democrats.

All US Economic policies have been leftist. Tis a fact.

It has amazed me for years that Americans still think in terms of the false duality of Republican and Democrat.

Coming of age in the 60s as I did, many of us learned that either party was capable of great evil for money or ideology and that the two major parties represent a duality that will never bring balance and so, it is a constant struggle. When the extremists of either side gain total power, we, the people, are in a world of hurt. The Right will eventually take the country in a fascist direction and the Left will head toward totalitarianism, if left to their own devices, either way, I'm not going to like it.

Free markets are not always fair markets. Trickle down economics is a joke (the only thing that trickles down is misery and nastiness) and no market is god.

Refusing to regulate the markets is like allowing Ted Bundy to self-regulate. There has been study after study showing the extremely high incidence of what we used to call sociopathology in the corporate world, which is now the world of government as well. I think the pathology is now referred to as functional psychosis. These people rarely come to the attention of psychologists or psychiatrists, as they appear quite normal and highly functional. Our culture in America Inc. rewards their pathology, so they are often found at the top levels of wealth and power. There are even more with narcissistic personality disorder on Wall Street as well as in D.C.

Got an email from a good friend of mine who is a nurse in an E.R. in Conn. several weeks back advising me that E.R.s around NYC have never been more inundated with wealthy headcases (paranoid psychotic breaks, severe depression, suicide attempts and successes, as well as alcohol, coc aine and methamphetamine abuse. As I told him, these folks do fine until the s--- hits the fan. When that happens, they go from functional psychotics to just plain psychotics.

While I see the Democrats being further from Marxism than the Republicans are from fascism, I do wish both parties would stop making laws they can't evenly enforce; get unfair, stupid laws off the books. Just think how much money could be saved off the incredibly idiotic drug war and made off taxes if drugs were legalized, especially Cannabis (not to mention Hemp, one of the strongest fibers known to man.) If you want your kids to have Cannabis or anything else, the best way I know of is to make it illegal.

With the money we would save by stopping a war on a plant, for heavens sake, and the taxes that could be levied, we could probably have a hybrid car in every driveway, doing more for the national security than declaring war the entire middle east.

Who do my fellows believe has done more to harm the national security:

Cannabis smokers, functional psychotics on Wall Street destroying the global economy, Neocons who lied us into Iraq, had Iran in their sights and turned a large part of the world against us?

Many of us just don't want to see the truth We hide it from ourselves. In fact many Americans would not know the truth if it slapped them in the face. Not only that America Needs a Hero and in a since Obama claims he can be that hero that he was sent here to save the world! Many of us are buying in to this crock because for one it is shoved down our throats.

I went to Books-A-Million today looking for the book The Real George Washington, that was recommended by Glenn Beck, they don't have it and can't even order it, so I looked around in American History and Biography sections and found 4 books in all about the greatest President this country ever had. Yet they have a shrine to Obama in more then 1 section of the store there are books by and about this man who has yet to Accomplish anything

I fear one day many Americans will wake up and find their rights will be taken away, their government has taken all their money, and enslaved them, and they will ask how did this happen, well it happened while you slept!

Instead of calling this guy a "lefty" and that gal a "socialist" why doesn't SOMEONE out there compile a GOVT. CORP STRUCTURE so we can review and make recommendations on how to SHRINK IT.

EVERY DEPARTMENT - let's review this BS from the top down to the bottom.

Oh, wait, I forgot we're too lazy to actually do work - it's easier to bitch.

Peace.

The Bankers Manifesto is something everyone who hasn't read should read.

Nothing that is happening to day is happening by accident but design. The people have just not dared to believe it is not them, or the form of government they wish to believe that they have and enjoy who are creating the design.

As long as people cling to the illusion that the Constitution is a relevant document and has bearing on Government and Government is elected by and represents the people, they will never get beyond the trap that illusion creates and enslaves them too.

It's a hard process getting people to see the forest for the trees.

Thanks for a great peace of truly pertinent information.

I think most of us limit and manage our exposure to the boob tube. Most Americans don't. The brainwashing power of the media has been honed to a fine art. I believe most people still don't have a firm clue as to what is happening as an orchestrated event. People, sadly enough, are primarily cattle and most people will remain that way. The problems stem from a lack of high character both in the Illuminati/NWO perpetrators as well as the minions that serve them as well as most Americans that directly or indirectly support them for their own self and naive interests. All it takes is a rational a person likes and then buys into and their cooked. People are weak and getting weaker. Still, it's all just a karmic flush and the bad guys are serving the purpose of facilitating the enema. Real leadership is what is required and such a thing is no where in sight and not long likely long for this world if it does show up. The herd follows a leader and a leader is a very dangerous thing to the powers that be.

Look at your constituency. As long as you and those that you know or socialize with are not feeling the impact of change then nothing will be done. When you get knocked off your feet and find it hard to stand up then you will realize just how bad things really are but by then it will be too late.

People are still way too comfortable so they remain in the kettle and make complaints about the heat. The whole time they are looking at the menu that still think that they won't be the one eaten.

I will star & flag as it's a good point.

But I will not even start at expressing myself.

I have spent much energy trying very hard to wake people the hell up.

I will give my heart,
My soul,
My life, to free this country from the Tyranny it's under.

But I can't do it myself.

You know, I think most Americans have a sick Fetish for wanting to be dominated. They must really like the crack of the whip, and a spanking with the paddle. That's the only conclusion I can come up with besides just being plain stupid.

Yes, I agree.

IMHO, a vast preponderance of the people are still at stage one in the following chart -

When a critical mass of individuals has progressed to stage five, then people will have become an overwhelming force driving positive change !

The left and right # has to stop. People can be ignorant. People can be intolerant. People are still people...human's. WE share this.
If you think that one group of people is so much less human than another group, I think you are becoming part of the problem.
I'd like to get weird here. Ted Kaczynski, the Unibomber, was a very smart guy. He was also quite criminally inane. He hate hate hated liberals but he wrote a great story that kind of points out how futile liberal/conservative right/left battle is. Here is the link: www.sacredfools.org...
I don't agree with all of his theories...nor do I condone such violence...I do think he is spot on about the crew of the ship and how they bicker over meaningless prattle.
Read it.
