wow your trying to do something good and your getting torn apart by everybody...i guess its just the way you wrote it and the way everyone is reading
it...i dont see anything thing negative about what your trying to do, but it seems other think your starting a slave buisnes

I've thought of opening up my house to someone in need, and I'd have a contract and a clear understanding of what I would tolerate in my house and what I wouldn't. Work in or around my house for free rent and board. If that person doesn't stand up to the contract and expects to become a dependent of mine, then they are out the door.

Look, my wife is from Mexico... I've spent months upon months in that country. Spending time there gives you a diferent perspective on the American Dream. (it's called the American Dream because you have to be asleep to believe it)

Like I said before, yes you have a good heart but since you have kids you need to think about your idea. You don't want a crazy woman coming into your home where your wife and kids also stay.
My suggestion, you should do an interview process to make sure you pick the right person. I agree with what you are doing, just make sure you go by it the correct way.
