MEXICO CITY -- Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton on Wednesday warned North Korea that firing a missile for any purpose would be a "provocative act" that would have consequences.

North Korea is loading a rocket on a launch pad in anticipation of the launch of a communications satellite between April 4 and 8, U.S. counterproliferation and intelligence officials said.

Uh oh. This cannot be good. What do you all think our response will be? Will they even launch or are they just bluffing? In my opinion this isnt just something we can stand by and let them do. We can try to shoot it down, but if that fails the US looks incapable of shooting down a long range missle. Just watched Clinton, she doesnt seem happy about this at all. This sure will be a major test for Obama.

Already being discussed in multiple threads.

The US or Japan will simply shoot the thing down, no questions asks.

Nothing will happen that will ammount to much of anything but the closing of the boarder at the DMZ.

And we are quite capable of shooting down a very old missile. Trust me, those things are big and bulky and hard to miss.

We have anti-missile missiles....
