Specialised Boeing 787 leasing company LCAL has cancelled 16 of the 21 aircraft it had on order, the second large-scale loss to the 787 backlog within a week


and


Russia's S7 Airlines has confirmed that it is the customer behind the cancelled order for 15 Boeing 787 twin-jets, but insists it retains interest in the aircraft.


thats 31 now cancelled , and mroe than a few rumours more of the smaller orders will be going down the pan as airlines struggle to survive

Its not just the small ones. AIG collapse has adversley effected ILFC so both the A350 and the 787 may bet biggerr hits.

Also the credit needed to finance the airframes has dryed up compounding the issue

Credit hasn't dried up, its just getting more expensive - ILFC no longer have the excellent credit score that they had when AIG was strong, and as such they are no longer getting decent deals on rates. They can still get financing, but it costs more for them.

Ironically, if ILFC had split from AIG at the start of this, they would have maintained the decent credit rating and could have still gotten good deals on financing.

Calm down Harlequin, like the allmighty A380 the B787 is gonna be late.

I rather ride in (or fly in) a late but good airframe than fall out of a poor one.
