Our movements are already tracked by CCTV, speed cameras and even spies in dustbins.

Now snooping on the pubis has reached new heights with local authorities putting spy planes in the air to snoop on homeowners who are wasting too much energy.

Thermal imaging cameras are being used to create colour-coded maps which will enable council officers to identify offenders and pay them a visit to educate them about the harm to the environment and measures they can take.

Wow, as if "Big Brother" intrusion was not a big enough concern in the United Kingdom, look at what we have here.

Remember folks, this is all being done in the name of "Going Green", AKA "Anthropogenic Global Warming Prevention".

To tie in with this issue, I understand some folks on here when they say: "Hey, even if Al Gore and others are incorrect about AGW, at least they are making people aware of the Environment, and our need to Clean it up". Well, that does sound like a good point, until you come to grips with the fact that the simple "Awareness" factor has now become a Political Platform for Nominations, Elections, and Intrusiveness into our everyday lives.

Take this story to mean whatever you wish, but I dare say that it is yet another warning sign of the dangers which present themselves when Science becomes infused with Politics.

Truthfully, we can afford to debate the Scientific merits of this subject, but we need to take heed of the Political overtones which have been increasingly intruding upon the matter.
