Now I know we've recently just finished doing the top 10 conspiracy theories of all time, however I think it would also be fun to see who ATS members would choose as the top conspiracy theorists of all time.

To be accepted for nomination the candidate must be a leading or former leading member of the conspiracy culture and have done extensive research on one or more conspiracy theories.

Members must also provide a short summary of why they are nominating the person in question and name at least one theory the candidate has worked on extensively or created.

Members may submit as many candidates as they want, but only 10 will be chosen for the final vote. Submissions will be chosen on 5 factors.

1. Ammount Of Nominations
2. Nominee's Contributions To The Culture
3. Overall Popularity
4. Depth Of Research
5. Believability Of Actual Theory

Nominations will last until this Saturday at 12:00AM. At that point I will compile a list of the candidates with the most votes and then proceed to post them along with summaries and member's comments of why they were chosen. This list will be compiled in random order as to not suggest any possible winners.

Final voting will go on for at least 2 days at which point I (with whomever else would like to help) will tally the results/statements and create another thread/exposé on the winner, showing off their theories along will all supporting documentation.

If anybody would like to help if this thread gets off the ground, feel free to U2U me.

P.S--You can nominate anybody, even fellow ATS members or proven hoaxers, so long as there is valid reason they will be considered.

I nominate Mark Lane.

Pretty singlehandedly kicked off the whole JFK assassination conspiracy research with his landmark book RUSH TO JUDGMENT.

Check out this Wiki link... for more info...

After all these years, that book along with his PLAUSIBLE DENIAL rank with the best conspiracy books of all times.

Nominee Number 2 would be Jim Marrs for CROSSFIRE, an essential conspiracy book and perfect companion book with the Mark Lane books. These two guys should be in the theorist hall of fame.
