Is the Stimulas bill Obama's Patriot act?
Where is the ACLU? Where all the people who claimed Bush was taking their freedom? Those who claimed the Patriot Act was the beginning of a Police
(perhaps The Civilian National Security Force) Initiating huge Spending Programs,, all the while continuing to turn his back on the Constitution and
The Serve America Act, first introduced in the 110th Congress and reintroduced as S. 277 .The way I see it is that the Patriot Act, S.277 and HR1388
are all the same? I
I admit Obama has flip flopped on the extension of the Patriot act. I want answers too. If the Patriot act is not reinstated by December 2009 it will
be dissolved, however there are parts of it that will not.
Senate bill S 277 seems to be more about the auditing of businesses in the financial industry. The link is below. It seems that there are more
involved than only them.
Obama voted FOR the renewal of the Patriot act. See link below.
No discussion of the emerging American police state would be complete without a mention of last year’s Republican and Democratic National
Conventions. The Republican National Convention were arrested being charged with “Conspiracy to Riot in the Furtherance of Terrorism,” and are
literally being held accountable for the actions of other individuals. .
Rahm Emanuel stated recently “It's time for a real Patriot Act that brings out the patriot in all of us.
President Obama and his aides say they don't want to waste a crisis. That's a cynical way to exploit a national emergency. Under Obama, feds may

businesses, libraries and bookstores.
If not renewed by Congress, the provision will expire at the end of 2009. The target of the search does not have to be suspected of terrorism or any
other crime. A permanent gag order that accompanies each search prohibits the business or library from telling anyone about it.
Opponents of the Patriot Act provision have lobbied Congress to require that agents seeking such records obtain grand jury subpoenas, based on
evidence of wrongdoing, and defend them before a judge if the record-keeper objected. So far, their efforts have failed.
Words matter, as Obama said on the campaign trail. But when it comes to his detention and counterterrorism policies, his actions are speaking louder.
No More 'Enemy Combatants' -- But Is Obama Merely Rebranding Bush's 'War on Terror'.
Reforming the Patriot act. Is the Stimulus Bill the Patriot Act of the Obama Administration? Is this conspiracy or fact?
As I read this, I was mostly nodding in agreement. But Obama's evolving views on corporate patriotism have got me wondering. Can a man who grasps
the value of markets economy and shows some deference to economic laws really believe that this this new proposal, is a good idea?
