Would you deny Christ if you found out that he wasn't one guy?
Let's say that Jesus, speaking about the "son of man", wasn't talking about a "personality" named Jesus, but rather what his name means hence
"IN MY NAME".
His name literally means "Self existent"(Yah...) "Salvation" (Shua).
To be saved "In his name" which is a Verb and NOT a noun, is to have "self existent salvation".
Isnt it more like "The self existing one saves" ? Or God Saves ?
As for the Christ being one guy or not.
The body of Christ is all the
believers, because they are all baptised with one spirit (The spirit of Christ, the Holy Spirit) . Jesus
Christ is the head of the body.
For in one Spirit were we all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether bond or free; and were all made to drink of one Spirit. (1
Corinthians 12:13 )
So there is one body because what we have in common is the same Spirit.
BUT:
Matt 7:21 "Not everyone who keeps saying to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will get into the kingdom of heaven, but only the person who keeps doing the will of
my Father in heaven.
AND:
23 “And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.’
What does Jesus mean "‘I never knew you" ?!?!
And which lawlessness is he talking about ?
This is what he means:
"If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him."
This is why He will "know" you. Because, when you start to apply this law:
Galatians 6:2 "Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
...THEN:
John 14:21 “He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him
and will disclose Myself to him.”
AND:
John 14:22 Judas (not Iscariot) saith unto him, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? 23 Jesus answered
and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
