There are side effects of a down economy we have heard about. Abandoned pets overwhelming the shelters. Higher thefts. People trying to scam businesses for free goods and services. People going without medical care.

But another one I have noticed that is increasing is people fleeing car accidents. Mainly fender benders. If you are having a tough time already, the last thing you want is is your insurance to go up or get canceled.
