There are two glaring differences between the air farce and fox. The first would be talent. The second is a sense of humor.

As a big defender of the #1 Cable News Channel FOX News, all I have to say is "Are you freaking serious?"
On the same night Mr. Obama jokes about the Special Olympics, people are getting upset about a joke about the Canadian Military made at 2:00 in the morning?
To blame FOX News, the #1 Cable News Channel, for comment made on a show that is on a 2:00 in the morning and has is nothing more than a cheap take of John Stewart's Comedy News skit is stretching.

Lighten up. It's called comedy folks. I've seen plenty of Canadian comedians use Americans as hockey pucks for their slap stick routines.
Don't Canadians still live in igloos, walk around wearing snow shoes 8 months of the year, and love attempting to out run avalanches on their snowmobiles.
When national pride makes you this sensitive perhaps your image of your country is amply over inflated, and your self image is built on easily shaken ground.
Also, there were no references to military casualties, so I do not see these people as being insensitive.
IMHO: You are reading too much into this if you take it personally.

Some observations:
Red Eye is comedy.
The participants on Red Eye regularly slam everyone , which is healthy if you think about it.
If we can't laugh at ourselves...
Some of the most determined soldiers I have seen are Canadians.
Spend a little time on youtube reviewing Iraq / Afghani war footage and I think you will agree.

He's on a comedy show and is not part of a serious news organization. Why do people constantly want to compare his comedy show to real news and think the same standards apply? That's just laughable.
