How To Measure a Planet by The Gathering is 28 minutes.

Also, Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence by Dream Theater is a whole cd full, which I think equates up to 40 minutes. Though alot of people dismiss it because it's divided into sections, but it counts as it's a full song.

LOL. I'm a HUGE fan of Arlo Guthrie.

Pretty much any of his live recordings are a lot longer... "Alice's Restaurant" and "The Motorcycle Song" are two of my favorite epic story-songs.

Too bad Arlo is so much older then me, I would've married him back in his younger years

Green Carnation - Light of Day, Day of Darkness: 60mins

Edge of Sanity - Crimson: 40mins

Wormphlegm - In an Excruciating Way...: 32mins

Manowar: Achilles, Agony and Ecstasy in Eight Parts: 31mins

I probably have a few more half hour or longer songs lying around too.

Does Crimson really count though? I think it does, but I know alot of people who would say it doesn't because it's an album broken up into parts.

Love Edge of Sanity, though. Glad to see other people know who they are.

Well the first Crimson is a single 40min track, and it flows pretty well like any progressive song. Are you referring to Crimson 2? That is like a single song but it's broken up into multiple tracks.

I could be. It's been so long since I've listened to Edge of Sanity. So I'm probably thinking of that instead.
