I don't think this contest is for Classical music. Also if anyone said a classical peice of music they are technically wrong. Orchestrated music is not "song" it is a "Peice of Music." Opera consists of vocals and there for is a song. Even as someone has said, Beethoven's 9th symphony, it does qualify as a song for the final movment is the famous Ode to Joy.

Techno doesn't even qualify as a song for most techno does not have words where as if it does it is a song.

A song is a relatively short musical composition for the human voice (possibly accompanied by other musical instruments), which features words (lyrics).

A piece of music exists in the form of a written composition in musical notation or as a single acoustic event (a live performance or recorded track). If composed before performance, music can be performed by memory, through written musical notation, or through a combination of both. Compositions are comprised of musical elements, elements which vary widely from person to person and culture to culture. Improvisation is the act of composing during performance, of assembling elements "spontaneously."

Please , if you consider yourself a fan of any type of music take the time to know the basics...

Deny Ignorance.

Oh and the longest song I have ever heard was most like a choral peice by Hildegard of Bingen.
