Google is not always so easy, especially when you don't even know what you're looking for.

Does anybody have meaning links to information about 6 degrees
33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38
and
39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44 ?

Are you asking about the Rite of Memphis-Misraim?

It was my understanding that the number of degrees were reduced to only 33, and the others are now defunct.

Not quite. Memphis-Misraim is entirely defunct, and their first 33 do not necessarily correlate to the 33 of the Scottish Rite (nor do their first 12 correlate to the 12 York Rite degrees).

Again further proof that the numbers are meaningless.

I was unaware that any adjacent bodies numbered rites, degrees etc correlated with any of the others. Granted I am only a member of the Scottish Rite, but it's just something I had assumed.

And something tells me THX is not looking for the Memphis degrees, but the mythical Scottish Rite degrees after 33.

You're correct, there IS no correlation. But Rite of Memphis had numbered degrees, and it's easy to assign numbers to the York Rite degrees even if they don't use numbers themselves. (They do, after all, have to be taken in a prescribed order).
