Problem viewing some videos with Firefox

I use Firefox. I frequently encounter a problem when trying to view a video. The video simply does not show on the screen, or if the screen appears, there is no control panel for me to press the play button.

I get around this by viewing the page in an IE tab. Then everything works OK.

This does not happen all the time. Youtube seems to work fine.

I'm guessing that I'm missing a plug-in for Firefox? I can't seem to find one that fixes it, though.

Any ideas?

If you could post a link to one of those videos it would help solve the problem, probably someone can explain how they see the videos (I rarely use Firefox).

I can see the video on Firefox, what version do you have?

And, as this video plays on a Flash player, what Flash player version do you have?

Firefox 3.0.6

Flash 10 (which I just installed - I thought I had it before).

I will try again.
